Arrigoni Winery was one of our favorite local vineyards, always a good spot to stop for a glass of wine and some conversation with friends, regardless of the season. Today, what should have been a great day, celebrating a birthday milestone with a few friends, was ruined by the arrogant owner who clearly needs to take a class in customer service 101. NEVER have I EVER been made to feel so unwelcome at an establishment after spending a large sum of money on that business. We made tremendous effort to respect the social distancing rules in place, and were kind to the neighboring tables. If there was an issue with people wanting shade (which I highly doubt, since several tables were open) then how about addressing the issues like a proper business owner, by politely and professionally helping your customers consolidate tables. Never mind that an entire covered pavilion needs to be allocated to tastings.

Always remember, good customer service is what draws people back to your business, so that should be your top priority. Here in CT we have many other options that would have been happy to host us. When we first arrived, your owner coped an attitude and I wished that we walked away. You did not deserve our business.

Stopped in on Sunday afternoon. Live music and outdoor setting was great. Staff very friendly.
Did the premium wine tasting, had a few flatbread pizzas, tried the slushie, & ordered a bottle of Chardonnay.
Everyone’s pallet is different, but for me, the wines were just ok. Glad I experienced it but probably wouldn’t go back.

We went to Arrigoni for some family time with visiting out of town family members. They had live music while we were having some frozen wine smoothie. Yum! Must try! We also had small appetizers. Please have the pizza! It was soooo good! The grounds were lovely, the drinks sublime and the food delicious! Staff was so friendly and attentive! We had a fabulous time! Please come and enjoy yourself!

Spent a Friday evening at the winery grounds for a rehearsal dinner. The staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of seating. There was live music that was at an enjoyable volume. Plenty of parking. Tried three different wines and they were all drinkable. Actually better than I expected from a CT winery.

I was there with a group of about 15 people and never have felt so disrespected. So apparently our food was taking up too much space in their gazebo. We would have moved more willingly had the owner used a more respectful attitude when asking. Well the harassment did not end there. He then began bad mouthing us to the customers and wondering if we had even bought anything. Which we had as several in my party did tastings, many bought glasses and some even bottles. We were not able to enjoy ourselves due to his rudeness and unprofessionalism. I had been to Arrigoni several times in the past, but due to the way we were treated, will not be back. I also have many friends that travel the wine trail and I will be letting them know of the awful experience we had.

Arrigoni used to be one of my favorite stops on the CT wine trail- the staff is great and the wine is good. Sadly we met the owner this past weekend and his lack of customer service and people skills and his rude and condescending behavior prompted me to leave this negative review. Thankfully there are plenty of wineries on the CT Wine Trail who appreciate my business. I will not longer be spending time or money at this one- Very unwelcoming and unprofessional.

Visited Arrigoni Winery when they first opened and had a nice experience. Wine was immature but people were friendly and tasting was fun. Pretty area and nice outdoor seating. Visited recently 2 years later, more wines but could not find one that was worth buying. Wines lack complexity and why they have mor varieties the quality is among the worse on the Ct. Wine trail. The kicker is they went up in price for the tasting to $8.95 for 7 wines and $1 for each additional wine. Maybe they should try to make a really decent wine instead of just producing more less than mediocre wines. The tasting room is pretty and the outdoor area is nice, good music but id you are looking for good wine stay away.

Got a groupon here, but even that felt too expensive. The wine tasting was inside and we were forced to stand at a bar. Luckily it was only about 8 min long. Pours were very small and the waitress basically just poured and that was it, no talk of the wines or winery at all. The cheese plate that came with it was very cheap looking, it was strips of cheese with ritz cracker-type crackers. Also got the wine slushie which was a complete rip off for $12 (value was probably half that for the quantity given). At the end, the waitress didn't even rinse out our glasses, just put them in a bag.

The glasses that came with it were pretty cool, stemless with the logo on it. Wouldn't come back. I wouldn't discourage others from using a Groupon on this, just definitely don't pay full price and don't expect much here.

We went for a visit and the place was packed. The 'taster' was only available to drop a dribble of wine in our glasses on her way by and say "this is the first one on the list." We took it in stride and bought a few bottles based on our tasting. As it turns out, the wines we liked were not introduced in the correct order on the list. We liked #1 as introduced as the River Blend. The bottles we purchased were not the wine that we were told was River Blend. At $17.50 a bottle, it's a huge mistake. So far calls and emails have gone unanswered. Guess I need to haul back out to Portland or give the rest as gifts.
The atmosphere was hurried and uncaring. The scenery was beautiful. I'd rather go to any number of the other fine wineries in our state.

I like the atmosphere of the winery, but the cheese plate that came with the groupon was a joke. Literally five pieces of cheese (small pieces) and a handful of crackers- that was supposed to be a $15 value? Really? The tasting is priced higher than average at $9 for 5 wines.
