Even though it is not a very large park, it is beautiful. Waterfall and covered bridge for gorgeous picture taking. Hiking trail are well posted and at the top is a fort to climb and overlook the area.
This State Park is best experienced in the early Spring, later fall or even in Winter. The summer brings a few too many city dwellers seeking space for picnics and family gatherings. Also a favorite spot for Wedding Photos. Parking lot fills up during summer.

There is also a large gazebo for picnicking, just go early because it can get crowded quickly in the summers months. Hope that helps?!
I have no clue. I have seen free grills for public use there. I would use what they provide and bring your own charcoal briquettes and plenty of lighter fluid. Don't forget to clean up after yourself! Enjoy.
