We visited this park on a weekday with our dog and enjoyed our stay though the falls were close to nonexistent due to the current drought and the day was overcast. Fall has arrived so the leaves had changed and the short walk to the covered bridge was quite impressive. I am looking forward to a return visit perhaps in early spring when the small falls will be more impressive.…

One only has to walk a couple of feet from the parking lot to see the most beautiful part of this hike— Veering to the right places the multi tiered falls within arms reach, Followed closely by the quaint covered bridge. This part alone is definitely worth the trip. Continuing on the path from here takes you deep into the preserve, rocky the entire way. Some of the hills are quite steep so appropriate footwear is advised. While the trail is maintained, recent storms and a rumored tornado from several years ago has left large swaths of destruction along the way. There is a watch tower on property although I did not see it myself …

This lovely, mellow park seems to be overlooked, as I've been here a couple of times and it hasn't been busy either time. It has hiking trails, waterfalls, a beautiful covered bridge, picnic tables, and a small lake. This isn't the biggest or the grandest park in the state, but it's a calm space to hang out, go for a walk, or have a picnic.…

traveling through the area , loved that it was just minutes from the highways. very clean, but not big. very nice setting.
