This small, local theater has a very diverse selection of productions; from jazz to music from every genre to plays. We have enjoyed several evenings there and look forward to our next visit. It's fun and it's local! Great.

Norwich Arts Center houses an art gallery on the bottom floor and a renovated theater on the third. It's a great place to go on the First Friday of the month~they have an art opening reception that the public is invited to~each month highlights a different artist, some belong to their own co-op others are from the community at large. We arrived in enough time to see the new art show and then went upstairs to hear the month's concert.

Lots of variety is offered, from Folk to Jazz, to Swing and much more. Because it is an Arts Center they have a goal to bring different art, music events to the community. The cost for most groups is $20.00 which is very reasonable but the fact that you are allowed to bring in your own snacks and drinks makes it a great deal. Wine, soda & desserts are also offered for sale. The seating is cabaret style so you can bring friends and have your own table. Or make some new friends! And there is usually enough space for dancing if you are so inclined. Really an opportunity for a lot of fun!

If you like Independent Films, you can catch a movie in the theater as well. On the second Saturday of each month a new movie is shown. The price is $7.00 a person. Bring a cushion for your seat, as it can get a little uncomfortable. They offer snacks, soda for sale.

There's something different on every week at the Donald L. Oat Theater of the Norwich Arts Center--blues, plays, movies. . .The NAC Gallery opens a new art show every month.

It doesn't seem to speak to the whole community . It appears to behave elitist in nature , but things change maybe NAC will also

NAC is great! It's an all volunteer run organization who strive to provide the community with arts, entertainment and culture at reasonable prices. I enjoy the community theater productions they produce. And most First Friday's of the month they offer live concerts; jazz, blue grass, motown and more.

There are two art galleries on the bottom floor and the Donald L. Oat Theater on the top floor. Galleries are free to browse. Various cost for the theater events.

Every first Friday of the month the exhibits change - position. I think the gallery is in a rut. You see a lot of the same names and art over and over again in different months. The prices on the works say the artist is not interested in selling and in other venues you might find them hanging for sale on picket fences at a street fair. The jewery is not handmade but possibly hand-assembled from a kit available on the internet. On the upside they don't charge admission and serve wine on 1st Fridays. The wine helps as you look around.
