A Hidden Gem of Nature

If you have not walked the property of Sticks & Stones, you are missing out on another one of Newtown's Natural Wonders! Throughout the property you will be pleasantly surprised by a variety of buildings ranging from a yurt to screened cabins and even one my kids call the Hobbit Hole. All beautifully incorporated into the landscape with wonderful views. Bring a picnic and have a great hike. Sign in at visitor center. They also offer summer programs for kids and some drum circles. Very Cool Place.

Sticks and Stones Farm is an anomaly for Fairfield County...a step back into what CT used to be: woods and ponds and stone walls.

This working organic farm also features dozens of figures built over the years from the stones that cover the hillside that is part of the property. They range from figures in yoga poses to animals of all kinds. There are a number of rental cabins on the property scattered on the hill that offers an interesting one hour hike. The lady that welcomed us refreshed us with well water at no charge and told us of the farm's thirty year history. The property also offers yoga classes.
