Whilst in New Haven visited and passed through the green numerous times a day. Our daughter was at a academic competition at Yale, therefore it was on our way there. We were fortunate enough to experience snow whilst there, which turned the Green into a...More

Wanting to take advantage of the nice day, my husband, daughter, and I walked around Yale University and the New Haven Green. It's too bad that such a nice green space in the city felt unsafe. We saw a couple of drug deals go down...More

Take the time to review the history of the Green, it's current use, as well as the buildings located on the Green. It is a great place to walk and observe the cross section of the New Haven and our world.populations from all walks of...More

The New Haven Green is an open, green space in downtown. It is just opposite the old campus of Yale. There are 3 old churches on The Green and lots of restaurants around it. The town's Christmas tree is located there in holiday season.

This place went to the pots you have poeple sleeping on the benches and things go on there that you wouldn,t want your kids to see if you are with kids.

Yes there are homeless but its a park in the middle of the city. I've come here for Jazz concerts in the summer or strolled through after dinner walking around the city. Been in CT all my life, and havent had an incident here.

I love green space and I am thrilled that New Haven has not developed this space. However, this is often filled with very desperate and sad individuals who appear to be looking for their next drug purchase. It would not be a stop on my...More

This is a beautiful green for the most part, and hosts events and farmer’s markets. The historic churches add to the charm. It’s had issues with drug dealing and homeless in the past, but has gotten better. It’s still got some ways to go, but...More
