Quick and easy access from both I95 and I91. It has free parking underneath the museum. Very close to other highly visited places in downtown New Haven. Admission to the museum is also free. Everyone we encountered was nice and helpful. The facilities are well maintained. I wanted to take my kids to see the Christmas around Europe exhibition and it did not disappoint. So many beautiful creations by very talented people. The museum is not big, so it's perfect when travelling or taking young kids. I recommend it even if you are not Catholic.

We recently took in a display of various Christmas creches from around the world. Extensive detain in each one. Also saw many Christmas trees decorated by local schools in a competition. Very creative and imaginative kids. Parking is free as is admission. We make this an annual event.

Went to see the mainly European creche display which was a real delight. They are beautiful displayed in different ways. The staff are very helpful too. Plus free parking in New Haven is great. The Christmas tree display, from children in different schools was lovely to look at, and one could vote on ones favourite.

Free parking and admission and even if they weren't free, would still go. Very friendly and helpful staff. Permanent and temporary displays. Collections are impressive. Worth the visit.
