Delicious, but you must call ahead for take out or seating. We ordered at 7:30pm for a 900pm pick up. EEK!

Nice clean area with many many places to eat (as it should be) SO many choices it would be a while to get through them ALL. I would come back to try it however.

As it was my wife's birthday, Wooster Street is her favorite place to visit. The restaurants are amazing and the ambiance of the neighborhood is perfect. Many options in food and also finish with Libby's to make it complete.

Wooster Street, New Haven, CT is a great little slice of Italy. It's as close as the real thing in the New Haven area. I love strolling down Wooster Street and grabbing a slice at any one of the pizzerias followed by a gelato or an Italian ice from Libby's

In the nicest possible way, this is like a foreign country. The atmosphere is strangely Mediterranean. The restaurants, for eating-in or for taking home for your own table supply good authentic food.

We love coming to this part of New Haven. The pizza, whether it's Pepe's, Sally's or Abate's is tasty and cooked to perfection. Desserts are a must. Head over to Libbys for a deliciously sinful pastry or a cup, pint, or something in between of their ever so tasty Italian Ice or Gelato in so many different flavors to choose from. Parking can be tough though. Well worth looking for a parking space, even if you have to walk a bit to get here

As legal Italian immigrants came to America during the first half of the last century and settled in New Haven...… and built so much of this city, this area became the heart of their longing soul.

Arguably the first pizza pie in America was cooked here at Pepe's on Wooster Street, and next door, at Libby's, you can still find the best Sfogliatelle, cannoli and gelato. Even Al Pacino couldn't resist a visit when he came acting in New Haven. I'm sorry you missed him.

A must to visit this neighborhood area. It is inclusive of many "best" Italian restaurants. ("Best" defined by a variety of the New Haven locals) I enjoyed several restaurants including: Pepe's pizza - long lines; Consiglio's - great outdoor back patio which is pet friendly; TREScalini - large food portions; etc. Wooster Square, the farmers market on Saturday morning and the houses all worth a stop

As we entered, we were hit by tantalising food odours and we now know this is the Pizza capital of New England.
Highly rated farmers market on corner of Wooster Street also on Saturday morning.

Pepes has become a chin, Sallys has been bought by a corporation, Libbys has best italian ice anywhere but you cant get expresso to go, and the lady just doesnt care for humans. Abate is like dominoes, Frank and marys is gone, Perrotis is gone, Cavaliers deli is gone, the liquor store stinks of incense and there is no freakin parking and the yale alums and jerkface manhattanites block the street, which is the only direct onramp to interstate 95 north. Go to state st for modern pizza, gramd ave for your cannolis and also adriannas for real italian food. made by albanians.
