A must to visit this neighborhood area. It is inclusive of many "best" Italian restaurants. ("Best" defined by a variety of the New Haven locals) I enjoyed several restaurants including: Pepe's pizza - long lines; Consiglio's - great outdoor back patio which is pet friendly;...More

As we entered, we were hit by tantalising food odours and we now know this is the Pizza capital of New England. Highly rated farmers market on corner of Wooster Street also on Saturday morning.

If you go to New Haven and you like pizza, you must go to little Italy, they have one of the best pizzas in the U.S.

Small area but filled with Italian restaurants and excellent Pizzerias (Frank Peppe always with a queue outside). Nice neighbourhood for a wander and not far from center of New Haven.

I love going to little Italy, in new haven CT. The food is to dye for. The bakery’s are delicious and the many restaurants are also. Pepe’s Pizza is by far my favorite, but my sons love the Italian ice from Libby’s.

New Haven has relentlessly--one could even say ruthlessly--performed urban renewal, and has eliminated most of its older buildings (unlike Providence, RI). The Wooster Square area is one exception to the trend. It's a pleasure to walk here and to savor the quiet charm of the...More

I wanted this street to be alive with shops and activities, it's not. However, it is my new FAVORITE spot to find the best pizza! Frank Pepe's was worth the visit and standing in the line. Hit up Libby's after apizza for dessert and enjoyed...More

Not quite the little Italy of other cities, but cute enough to take a stroll through if you have time on your hands.
