- AMsaysThornhill, Canada3,988 contributionsWhat an Amazing InsitutionI was here for my son's commencement from the prestigious law school, postponed 2 years because of Covid-19. It was a highly emotional day full of pomp and ceremony commensurate with the auspicious day. The day was extremely well organized by the school and capped off with an excellent lunch for all who attended The grounds of this fabled institution encompass historic buildings that have seen remarkable events and famous scholars pass through. I especially enjoyed the Beinecke Rare Book Library and Connecticut Hall on campus. What an amazing institution...!Written May 29, 2022

The buildings are absolutely GORGEOUS! I was amazed at the architecture and beauty. The Sterling library was just stunning. I highly recommend spending some time walking around and just marveling at all of the buildings and landscape!Written August 5, 2022
- Andrew BBaton Rouge, Louisiana53 contributionsBeautiful CampusI was blown away at how beautiful the University was. Aril was the perfect time for a visit. The buildings reminded me of Europe, unlike anything else I have seen in the U.S. The campus was walkable and had lots of helpful signage. Could not enter any buildings because of COVID. Great time though.Written May 15, 2021

Very beautiful buildings to see. Worth walking around and seeing. It makes you curious to see the inside of some though.

Due to COVID we could not go into any buildings last year when our son entered grad school. This fall, Oct. 2022, we got the personal tour and it was incredible…the library, the divinity school, Marquardt Chapel, the music school, Dwight Chapel, Old Campus, The Beinecke Museum (my favorite), a beautiful, campus with a rich history and well worth seeing!

Very walkable campus, especially with former streets converted into pedestrian walkways. Spend the day sightseeing, taking in the beauty of the campus. Feel free to enter the library and have fun. There are many great restaurants and shops to visit to help when you are hungry or wish to take home a memento.

After a fabulous and filling dinner, we decided to take an evening walk on the Yale campus.
It was a treat walking the area and seeing the historic buildings and structures.
I am hope the typical Yale student appreciates the campus architecture and many traditions.

This was my third visit to Yale -- the first two were guided tours. This time, I walked around on my own. Downloaded GPSmycity and revisited some of the beautiful architecture on campus. Especially love the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library....and Harkness Tower.

We just walked around the campus and looked at all the beautiful architecture. I felt like I was in another century , my Daughter said it was like walking into Harry Potter. I will definitely go back to explore more.

Where do I park if I want to have a quick tour of the campus on my own?

There's plenty of street parking (metered) in the neighborhoods surrounding the campus. You should easily be able to find a spot near the New Haven Greens (centrally located park) or on the streets with shops near The Greens and between State Street - and then walk around the campus.

salve, relativamente alla Yale School of Medicine, volevo sapere se c'è una pausa delle lezioni, spring break, per cui il college resta chiuso per qualche giorni nei mesi compresi tra febbraio e agosto.

If you go alone, you can only visit he University from the outside I think. With the guide you enter at least to the gardens and see things from inside. If you go alone, also you miss lots of interesting information.
The guided tour is free, so I recommend you take it
