I was interested in viewing Yale University. I went on a hot summer afternoon. I went to the visitor center where I was given a map. I was told that I may purchase a self-guided tour for a dollar. I declined the self-guided tour. I walked a few blocks past the performing arts buildings. The heat was intense. I feared... More

Walking around the campus leaves you awestruck! The historic sculptures, gates, and doorways are so fun to pose in front of, especially for little children. The library still has a working card catalog which is mind-blowing for the little ones!!

Amazing architecture! The place has a lot of history! And the library is amazing! Yale has free guided tours with their students so you can better understand the whole thing!

You need to be organised to see the university in all its glory. While there are sections open to the public there are many others that are not. The university does offer tours, best to take one of these.

Beautiful architecture and historic buildings. Tours are available, but we just walked around on our own.

We attended the information session for prospective students, took the guided tour, also took the Science guided tour. Great campus. Great tour guides and info session leader.

Yale University puts so much effort into beautiful buildings (that look far older than they really are), so it's definitely worth a visit. The free tour, which runs from the visitor's center, is a great way to get oriented with the University.

Arrived at the visitor center at 10.15am, just in time to watch the overview video. The video was a nice touch with musical scenes of students singing about why they love Yale. The tour started promptly at 10.30am and in 75mins, took us to the old campus, Saybrook college, Sterling Memorial Library and ended at the bookstore. The energy of... More

Was near New Haven and we decided to stop by Yale University for a walk through the campus and enjoy the day off. This university was founded in 1701 before the founding of the USA!! It's campus has very a strong English architecture influence in the design. The town has a couple of restaurants that cater mostly to the students... More

I'm prejudiced as an alumnus, but always find it refreshing to visit something both great and beautiful.
