This beautiful park is a lovely place to spend a few hours at leisure, particularly in the warmer weather when the flowers are in bloom. It's right across the street from the New Britain Hospital and provides a sense of serenity amidst the ongoing, overlapping health crises. There are winding trails for walking, landscaped gardens for pleasure, and hilly spots where you can look out over the surrounding areas. I also saw sports fields, and there's a bandstand for musical performances. I especially appreciated the cooling fountain during this recent heatwave. There are plenty of benches so you can sit, relax, and take in the beauty of this park.

This this cute Memorial and park is located next to a hospital. Its a great area to spend a few hours walking around all the lovely roses and flower beds. Lots of people there walking and sitting. Bench's on either side of park to sit and see the views since you are on top of a hill. There is a beautiful fountain and memorial in the park. At the beginning of the park there is a half shelf that has many concerts throughout the spring and summer months of CT.

I enjoy taking my dog to a variety of places for our daily walks and included in our rotation is Walnut Hill Park. On our most recent visit, we walked around the perimeter of the park, approximately 1 mile, followed by a tour of the rose garden which were quite beautiful.

Walnut Hill Park is a wonderful park. It is very clean and well maintained. It is a great place to walk around, for all fitness levels. The hill leading up to the war memorial could pose as a challenge to some, but there are plenty of other areas, the parks landmass is 98 acres. There is also a parking lot by the memorial so if someone isn't comfortable climbing the hill it is accessible by car. Next to the memorial are the lovely rose gardens. I've only been to the park during the winter and spring but I know it must be so beautiful in the summer when all the roses are in bloom. That reason alone is a good one for a visit, but the park offers many other things. It is well worth a trip/day out to experience.

I have been visiting this park for 71 years. It's peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. Could not ask for more for a park "up on the hill" as we call it.

We go there to walk, to play with the grandkids, to relax with a great view, or to attend an outdoor concert. This park has it all.

In a city riddled with congestion and dilapidated regions This park is a breath of nature. There are many community functions that happen here and it’s a good place to connect.

This park is truly one of New Britain's gems. It is well maintained and always clean. It is great for walking, jogging, or cycling. It is an even one mile loop around. The rose garden at the top of the park is exquisite and second only to Elizabeth Park. If you haven't seen the roses then you surely must go, preferably in early June when the roses are their peak.
