A hill top gem. Rose garden, unique vegetation, beautiful views of the sunset from marble benches, historic WW I monument and others, a mile long walking pathway and hill top views stretching miles, this is a park! In the evening enjoy a concert at the large band shell. (Best time for roses is June and August.)

Have lunch here several times a year with my elderly mom. Walk around the center of the monument area and lunch in the shaded sitting areas. The roses are awesome and beautiful to see!

Walnut Hill was for many years a great place to relax and enjoy a day or evening. Lately, over the past few years it's in decline. Alot of trouble makers go there and the surrounding neighborhoods are pretty rough. Wouldn't suggest a night stroll.

This is a lovely park with paved roads for walkers, runners, and joggers. There is both flat areas and inclines. It is one mile around. The shell area has live musicians every Monday and Wednesday nights during the summer. There is dancing and families, friends and children have a good time. The children get up to dance as well when... More

Well maintain, with paved walkway. Flowers and lovely old homes in the area, which give a picturesque back drop to a walk in the park. Biking is another way of enjoying the area. Summer night often offer free entertainment under the stars. The Art Museum is in the same are area.

A great park with a walking/ jogging/biking or whatever you enjoy track!! Picnic on the many grassy areas or take a sled ride in the winter. Museum of Modern Art next door and a close walk to town.

The city of New Britain has kept this park a beautiful place and it has fond memories for my family. In 1936 my parents had their wedding photos taken in the rose gardens. It is a beautiful place to stroll or walk and the track around the baseball park is a great place for a power walk or just s... More
