Historic cider mill, still active.

Homemade cider, expensive than other market cider, but worth the trip. Be prepared for long lines on fall weekends--parking at a premium. Very seasonal...closes late fall. Country... read more

Very cute place but get their early. We arrived an hour after they opened and there was already a 20 minute wait for donuts. There is a gift shop selling their donuts and ciders, along with jellies and wines, and other assorted food items. They were in the process of making cider outside but we did not stay for that.... Fabulous Fall day spent drinking hot apple cider with a warm apple donut--yum! Live band playing on the lawn. Lots of goodies (jams, syrups, hard ciders, kettle corn, etc.) to sample and buy for yourself and gifts!

I came here to see the cider making demonstration. It is the oldest steam powered cider mill in the United States. All of the equipment is original and the demonstration of the how they make the cider is really interesting and fun to watch. It also smells amazing. The store sells cider, gifts and goodies. The apple dumplings, elephant ears... More

We tried to get to the cider mill Columbus W/E and the place was overcrowded. You could not get near any of the facilities to observe or purchase any items.

Homemade cider, expensive than other market cider, but worth the trip. Be prepared for long lines on fall weekends--parking at a premium. Very seasonal...closes late fall. Country store feel--very tight quarters--selling many New England products--some expensive. Plan on staying 4 hours or so. 20 minutes from Mystic--one hour from Providence or New Haven.

My first trip to the mill was with my husband and a friend. The mill is only open for a few months each year, which creates a frenzy when they are open. The parking lot is a zoo and most people skip it and instead park in the street. With cars parked on both sides sections of the road are... More

I didn't get to go in the cider mill, because it was closed for cleaning, but the bakery is phenomenal and I enjoyed shopping in the country store. Definitely a fun place to stop and the locals tell me the cider is fantastic!

it was the day before Thanksgiving and looking for things to do that are not Big Box. Always need something to bring along to a friend's gathering. So BF Clydes was a fun choice. Located not far from "casino-land" it is a nice country drive. One building features some tasty pastry treats including apple cider donuts- not the best around.... More
