Art in the eye

There was some amazing art to be seen by local artists and all of it was for sale! I intend on buying some on my next visit.

Well when they have signage that they are closing at 5 you had better have seen what you came to look at because they rush to lock the doors and close down. Otherwise some interesting art.

Not a lot of art, mostly local artists. It's free - they just ask for donations. Most of it wasn't really my thing.

I love what they're doing to engage youth in and with art. If you're looking for paintings from the masters, or pieces from popular nuevo artists...wrong place. It's not the Guggenheim or the MFA in Boston. There is a relatively small collection of art from local artists, on the weekend we went there it was sitting on the floor to... More

We stopped in to check out the kids art. Many schools in the area had it students art work on display. It was very interesting seeing some of the kids imaginations. Many pieces were really great!

The Mystic Arts Center has now been renamed the Mystic Museum of Art, and the new name is consistent with this local treasure. For winter 2016, there is a wonderful curated art exhibit - admission is free, although donations are welcome. The classes for children and adults, ranging from single sessions to longer commitments, are uniformly terrific.

Bright and airy gallery with crafts and art for sale. The Center promotes art in the region. One can also look out the window and see the working part of the Mystic port. I found some great gifts to give at Christmas to friends at reasonable cost. I also got ideas for what I do make myself by looking at... More

This place is tucked away on the mystic river. Fantastic view. Ever changing artwork. Great committee of people running it. And great for private functions. I had my wedding here in October and it was well above my expectations. They have a tent for you to use at your disposal plus tables and chairs for main dining. You don't need... More

A lovely and diverse collection of artwork from a wide spectrum of New England artists, sprinkled with a few items from their established collection.
