I only gave three stars because art museum lovers might find the place lacking. For what it is, however, I would give it 4-5 stars. We went on the third Tuesday evening of the month when the museum puts on an informal "soiree",with music, food, beverages, children activities, and visit to the galleries. The museum is right on the waterfront,... More

Wow--such a lovely collection of really interesting art the time I found this place--I was looking for a special artist and found 4 pieces arranged in a perfect corner for viewing--their bright explosion of flowers and water depicted in strong swaths of oil colors. he gallery is bright and winds up and down levels of stairs, so one feels as... We were here for a private party, which was beautifully done. That gave us a chance to tour the collection. The permanent collection is mostly representational art that highlights the beauty of the area. The collection being shown at the time was a juried show that had reflected a variety of styles and abilities.

Great museum for locals and tourists. Variety of classes offered for all age groups throughout the year. Visitors will love the museum and gift shop.

So pleased to see this fantastic place. Juried and local artists. Very eclectic styles that rotate every six weeks. Paintings, photography , charcoal etc. Spend an hour or so. Free admission but donations welcome. Loved it.

Well when they have signage that they are closing at 5 you had better have seen what you came to look at because they rush to lock the doors and close down. Otherwise some interesting art.

Not a lot of art, mostly local artists. It's free - they just ask for donations. Most of it wasn't really my thing.

There was some amazing art to be seen by local artists and all of it was for sale! I intend on buying some on my next visit.

I love what they're doing to engage youth in and with art. If you're looking for paintings from the masters, or pieces from popular nuevo artists...wrong place. It's not the Guggenheim or the MFA in Boston. There is a relatively small collection of art from local artists, on the weekend we went there it was sitting on the floor to... More
