To anyone whose a shooting enthusiast I can Highly recommend this range. I've been a bullseye target shooter for over 40 years. I have shot at almost every range around this area as well as been a range officer/safety instructor at a few of them. A hidden GEM is the best description I can give this establishment.

For an easy and enjoyable indoor range experience, it’s hard to beat Shooting Sports Academy. I practice there throughout the year, and have maintained a membership since they first opened (although it’s not required — but it does offer advantages for the regular enthusiast).
The staff are friendly, low key and knowledgeable about firearm safety and operation. No attitudes here — just an approachable style that keeps me coming back. It’s never too busy, and I’ve had great experiences getting a lane any time I stop in. The private-club vibe is unique for a public range.
The facilities are top notch, with ten lanes and a recently extended backstop that offers shooters more of a challenge than before. SSA also does a lot of events like evening leagues, tactical classes, self-defense instruction and more. One of my favorites was a holiday “ornament shoot.” Pretty fun to shoot six tree ornaments at full distance! They’ll handle new pistol permits, too.
SSA is a great, down-to-earth range experience for anyone interested in refining their shooting skills. I’ve been to other indoor ranges in the area and found them either too crowded, too intimidating, too far away (for me), or just plain scary, neighborhood-wise. I’d recommend SSA heartily.

Quite possibly the worst range in Connecticut. Extremely unprofessional staff and owner. The facility itself is mediocre at best, with poor ventilation and lighting. The Range Safety Officers are completely inept and rude.
