Nice wooded trails near harbor
Jul 2018 • Solo
This is a great small wooded park for a short hike or mountain biking with several trails. It overlooks the harbor with a great view.

Nice walk in the park
Mar 2018 • Solo
Short trail just about 30 minutes return. Nice landscaping and beautiful scenic views. Good view of the waterway and if you’re lucky the ducks will swim by.

Great place for a blanket picnic
May 2016 • Solo
Historically this place used to be a lot bigger. It's not very big but a nice open quiet place to have a picnic lunch. There are no facilities or picnic tables but you can walk down to Fowler field for that!

Great local park
Apr 2016 • Family
Wilcox Park has baseball fields as well as tennis and basketball courts. There is access to the Long Island Sound as well as a footbridge over to Factory Lane. This is a great spot to walk around or just to relax and watch the coastal wildlife.

Long Island Sound Access, river view, park amenities, boat launch and parking
Oct 2015 • Solo
This is a great fun place. For Milford residents, there are basketball and tennis courts, ball fields, a pavilion (home of the Milford Oyster Festival); public boat access to the Long Island Sound (Milford permit required), short hiking trail; access to the seasonal Sound Waters Schooner tours of the Sound, several marinas and some that have full service boat yards.

It's all within walking distance of downtown Milford. Great nearby restaurants. A pedestrian bridge connects the park to nearby restaurants over the North River. The river floods in the Spring and has spectacular falls over the dam at the Stonebridge Restaurant. The perspective from the bridge allows views of the many fish species and water fowl of the Sound and the river.

High tide allows kayak paddlers to venture up the river and under the pedestrian bridge, then to the "Stone Bridge" just short of the dam, which is especially spectacular at night.
