The actual farmer’s/artisan market is on Wednesday and starts at 5 pm. I was told they wind down around 9 although I left before then. Important point: you will need to park about 500-1000 feet away on the side of the road, there will be...More

Had a great time listening to music and talking to the locals. The only reason I am giving this a four is because the musician got on his soap box talking about how Hawaii was stolen from them buy the US. I love the culture...More

We stopped here with a tour group. Treated us like family and served us a delicious meal. Restrooms were clean. We really enjoyed our visit! Only negative was the dogs...lots of them under our feet at the table, barking, and just being annoying. I'm not...More

A very eclectic stop of food, crafts, music, and unusual items. Worth the stop for a bite to eat and dancing. Very crowded space so go early. It seemed to be the place to be on Wednesday nights. Parking close by did cost $3.00. You...More

This happens on Wednesday night. Do not miss this. It is a gathering of people who are there to dance and eat and maybe purchase something. They are there to socialize. This was created exactly for that purpose. Go and enjoy, and DANCE!

We stumbled onto this place while trying to find out how to get to the lava flows. It wasn't Wednesday evening so it was quite quiet save for a few odd looking people eating and drinking. The food was not bad. Had a salad at...More

Place lives up to the reputation, especially on a Wednesday night. Go early enough to get a decent parking spot and in time for sunset at Kaimu New Black Sand Beach, which is right there. Tons of vendors selling all kinds of eclectic food (one...More

It's like an end of the road block party. Pay 3$ and park closer to the action instead of parking alongside the road and walking in, unless you get there early and get a good spot, but I'd still say it's easier to just drive...More

if you staying in Kehena I would not worry about check points. Those are placed up on the highways. How ever it is never safe to drink and drive and the Red Road at night is very dark even with high beams, so go slow. Have... More
