The Great Rann of Kutch is the Salt desert of Gujarat located close to the border. Unlike the traditional desert, this has formed due to the Salt that has been naturally deposited in this area, making it arid. Unlike snow, the crystals of salt dont melt , and refract light. Needless to say it looks stunning with the changing hues... More

It is a different experience to see the White Desert all over. People say the desert is at its best in full moon light and to experience the sun set is a life time's experience. We went there during mid day when sun is at its peak. It is about one and half hour drive from Bhuj. You need a... More

A vast white landscape due to the salt residue left behind after the monsoon floods have receded. A great photo opportunity to capture the immense scale of the region, especially at sunrise/sunset. The Rann Utsav festival which takes place every year is the ideal time to visit, with tented accommodation and a vast array of attractions to visit, plus excursions... More

Great place to visit and enjoy. The Great Rann of Kutch is a salt marsh in the Thar Desert in the Kutch District of Gujarat, India and the Sindh province of Pakistan. This is one of the largest salt deserts in the world. This area is mostly inhabited by the Kutch people. We visited Kutch in JANUARY when Rann Utsav... More

It's beautiful!!!! We were lucky that the full moon day we chose to visit turned out to be a super moon day it was awesome experience. This is a place one should visit without fail. Plan during Jan (full moon day around) for the best experience.

Visited this place during the rann utsav. Nice place. Long unending view of the white rann. We did not visited the tent available in the utsave as it was costly. We opted for mud house outside the utsave but it was a good experience.

We had booked a customised Gujarat tour with Ritual Holidays (Bhuj - Kutch - Bhuj - Dwarka - Somnath - Gir - Junagardh - Ahmedabad). Unfortunately it was a very bad experience. Let me be precise in noting down the reasons for unsatisfactory trip arrangements. 1) The driver was not well versed with the roads, leading to many de-tours and... More
