We love to visit here whenever we are in the area. Friendly helpful staff who will assist you when you need it-finding or ordering a book and let you explore at your leisure. Love finding autographed copies when just browsing through the selections. The cafe in the back is a great place for a snack of lunch to refuel while... More

This is a local favorite. The food seems mostly pre-prepared and heated. However everything I have ever ordered is delicious. If you want a cupcake and a huge cappuccino or delicious cup of hot tea with a good book, THIS is the place. The book store is renowned and brings in incredible authors. I rarely go to this cafe because... More

If I am in the country and I am in CT, this is where I come to find great books. I always find a great book on Africa history or current events that I would never find at the big bookstore chains. Great staff. Great atmosphere.

If small, local bookstores are to survive, this is the model. Based on the staff and their expertise, you are compelled to walk out of here with a handful (or, actually, armful) of new books. Their extensive reviews and suggestions, incredible breadth and depth of knowledge, and their amazing author and speaker series are the template for other local Book... More
