My wife and I are wine lovers,(especially Champagne and Sparkling wine),. We planned our 13 day trip to Spain around visiting some targeted wineries, to experience a taste of the region and its wonderful terroir. One of our stops was to the Can Bas winery and our host, Esther Millas, was just outstanding. She was very personable and informative and very helpful in selecting our wines to be shipped home. I also asked her for an additional beautiful box for the wine and she sent that along as well.
Although not part of the family there, she sure should be, as she is just a sweetheart of a person and truly cares about the grapes, soil and sustainability. She is an excellent asset to the Can Bas/Pere Ventura family

British Airways offered us a Wine/Cava Tasting excursion when we booked a package holiday with them to Barcelona.
The guide met us at the agreed point, and drove us to Cas Bas. There was loads of traffic on the way but we accept that this can’t be helped.
The first part was Cava tasting, which was set within very beautiful surroundings, we were welcomed by the owner herself. Our guide was very knowledgeable, explaining the process involved in making Cava, and showed us round, allowing us to see everything. We tasted 4 of their Cava’s. All were excellent.
The second part of the tour was 5 mins drive away, it was where the same family grew the grapes and made the wine. A different guide showed us the wine making process and the tool us via a 4x4 round the Vineyard so we could see the vines in the fields.
We than tried 4 different wines, 2 white, 2 red. Both were amazing.
I would recommend this wine tasting opportunity to anyone. We throughly enjoyed it. Thanks guys.

My mother and I visited Can Bas together with Mariana from Wineium. If you have the pleasure to meeting Ana, you are lucky. She greeted us as if we were old friends, made us feel at home, and gave us a educational experience of the wine and history of the property.

Not only are the wines exceptional, the property is absolutely beautiful, both the vineyards and where they produce/age everything. We visited in the winter and can only imagine how it would be during the spring/summer. Not only is it scenic they also embrace the Roman history of the property, while creating spectacular wine.

I will definitely be back. Thank you for a beautiful Sunday.

I am finally writing a review from my December, 2018 visit; not February, 2019 (it was difficult to write a review from the country I was living in). Besides the fact that the grounds are beautiful and the wines sampled were outstanding at both locations, our guides at 'Can Bas' (Esther) and 'Pere Ventura (multiple staff) were gracious, friendly, and dedicated to ensure that our experience at the winery was first-class. I was treated as a family member; in a good way! Esther, thank you for signing the 3-pack box of Priorat wines I purchased!

This wine tour was amazing! We booked through Viator and it was great. A short bus ride out of Barcelona to the Penedes region. The wines were excellent, especially the Cavas. We were able to see the vineyards and at the second winery, we were able to explore the caves. The owner and the tour guides were all super friendly and we had a little tapas pairing with every wine tasted. Highly recommend!

The wine tasting is not to be missed. The wines, especially the cava and sparkling rose, are outstanding. The people are gracious and the food served as a part of the tasting is excellent and plentiful. Go to Montserrat in the morning before the crowds then drop down to this vineyard for the afternoon. Or skip the mountain if you’re pressed for time. A picture of the place will do for the view but the wine must be experienced!

We enjoyed the tour very much. We walk around the vineyards near the cellar, listenning interesting stories and history. The technical guide was also very comprehensible and instructive. The tasting was reveling and there was some food to marry with the 4 wines. All great!!!

We had a wonderful experience on our recent trip to the Penedes wine region. Our guide was so knowledgeable of the winemaking and the history of this Vineyard. The winds and the food served during the tasting were truly delicious. There is a chapel the grounds that dates back to the 10th century. The home where the wine tasting is conducted is absolutely magnificent, highly recommend visit to Can Bas.
