Haight-Brown Vineyard takes great pride in being part of a wine industry in Connecticut that is steadily building a reputation in the eyes of those who enjoy the world’s fine wines. Haight-Brown Vineyard, Inc. is Connecticut's oldest winery, opening its doors in 1975. The winery is located in Litchfield Ct. in the northwest part of the state . The Litchfield vineyard grows 45 –50 tons of grapes per year and produces Vinifera wines and French Hybrid blended wines. Retail wine is available for sale and includes the familiar Chardonnay, Merlot, Riesling etc., as well as seasonal varieties such as AppleCrannie, Spring Fling etc. Seasonal events begin with the Annual Barrel Tasting in April, followed by the Festival on the Farm in June, and our Fall Harvest Festival in September. Sales are predominantly from the winery, with some special label business and package store distribution in the local area. The company does not sell out-of-state. Call 860-567-4045 for additional information print and fax our online form . Haight-Brown Vineyard, LLC. is a founding member of the Connecticut WINE TRAIL , where one can plan a visit to the state’s fine wineries. A pleasant and well-stocked salesroom, staffed with courteous personnel, coupled with wine tasting awaits your visit.

I enjoyed this wine tasting more than some others I've done in the area. Loved that they don't just pour one sip of wine into the glass, but it was easily 3 sips. It was $9 for 6 wines of my choice, or I could have done $12 for all 10 wines. They also have the option to add chocolate... More

Last stop on our wineries tour. This is in an old barn quite close to Litchfield. One challenge was having to climb upstairs to the tasting room as we are older. The wines were ok, but nothing out of the ordinary in my opinion. Hostess was friendly, but we were not allowed to split a tasting as we had at... More

When you first walk in to the winery you're like, hmm, where do I go? No real signs to speak of, but there is a stairway straight ahead. Follow the stairway up to the main floor and that is where you will find all the happenings. The people who work here were friendly and knowledgeable. Personally if you are going... More

I also had a Groupon - like many other reviewers, there were highs and lows. First, there is no tour as indicated in the Groupon, We were told right away, it was a "typo." That's not a typo, it's misrepresentation. Any good business needs to make it right, but there was no apology and no real concern, just matter of... More

Very sorry to hear about the lack of customer engagement. This person has resiged and probably a lesson learned that once someone gives notice, they are mentally no lognger in the game. I am also taking your feedback and putting together a training for all of the staff. I have noticed what you pointed out as well. I am sorry... More

We visit H-B several times a year and enjoy every visit. They have a wonderful cheese plate pairing with their wine tastings that we love. Include them on any litchfield tour!

Came in. Service was very slow. Sat for ten without help. One in our party had their first taste. The glass had a chip and cut her lip. We did a full flight 3 out of the ten were very nice. The rest were hit or miss.

My husband and I purchased a wine tasting for two thru groupon and stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. We both had a great time! Wine was delicious and the employee knew a lot about the wines and was very nice! After the tasting we purchased a bottle of wine and a cheese plate and enjoyed them on the balcony!... More

We purchased a Groupon for a wine tasting class. We then went on their website and looked under classes to see what was available. We picked a chocolate decadence tasting that meet at the Thomaston train station, went ahead and booked the tasting on the website, and received a confirmation from Haight-Brown. When we arrived, we were told it was... More

This response comes from Amy Senew, the owner. It is the same explanation I tried to give this customer but was unable to get him to pause and listen. Haight brown's website has a page called Classes. The page lists all of scheduled events that require advanced registration. When you go to the page and select a class, you may... More

This same upset customer is logging multiple tripadvisor reviews. My response is the same as I recorded on his prior one star review. We offer Groupon or credit card payment on most of the events we sponsor. If you want to pay with Groupon, onus on customer to go to groupon and buy the right groupon for the event you... More

The lady behind the counter gave us a interesting presentation on all the wines we tried. She even let us try some wines that we didn't pay for.
