Laurel Ridge is quite beautiful in April or May when the daffodils are blooming. We went last year and found it very picturesque.

If you happen to be driving through the Litchfield Hills in late April or early May, Laurel Ridge Farm is worth a stop to see thousands of daffodils in bloom. For years, this family has naturalized daffodils throughout their farm, including an island in a large pond and it's a beautiful sight on a lovely spring day. There's no admission and parking is on the street, but we saw people strolling the rolling hills, photographing and enjoying a picnic in this tranquil setting. It's a working farm with cattle fenced off in nearby pastures, and the ground is uneven and somewhat mucky so wear appropriate shoes.
