A Very Special View of the Atlantic Coastline
Sep 2019 • Couples
This is a promontory that extends into the Atlantic from Western Brittany...the local Breton name is Beg ar Vann.. there is plenty of free parking and numerous trails that feature spectacular panoramic views of the coastline along this section of the Brittany coast..we reached this special spot from our hotel in Audierne..

Lovely coastal spot
Sep 2018 • Couples
A great place to visit in Finistere. It’s one of the westernmost points of Brittany. It’s not far from Point du Raz, which is the more famous, but also the more commercial. Here it was quiet and not overcrowded. It was overcast and windy, but it was still worth the long ride from Quimper. Lots of opportunities here for beautiful coastal walks with stunning views.

Great views and good walks
Aug 2018 • Couples
The pointe du Vann is the neighbour of the more popular pointe du Raz, but is just as spectacular for views and walks without all the shops and cafes of its neighbour, although you can still get drinks, snacks and ices here. The other plus point is that parking here is free.
Well worth a visit. You can also walk from one to the other over the popular Baie des Trespasses.

Absolutely stunning coastal views
Jul 2018 • Family
Not far from Pointe du Raz but much quieter and not touristy at all. The car parking is free and there are much fewer visitors. The coastal and cliff views are amazing and there are about three walking routes including the main coastal paths. You can see across to the Crozon Peninsular and back to the Pointe du Raz. You would find good walking boots an advantage as some of the pathways are rough. Quite good bird watching also, not only several types of gulls but also yellow hammers, linnets, buntings and stonechats There is a small sandwich bar/creperie and toilets adjacent to the car park. There is also a very pleasant restaurant/bar just outside the Pointe du Van area.

Superb Views, Fewer Tourists than the other 'Pointe'
Aug 2017 • Couples
The Pointe du Van has superb views and walks and way fewer tourists than the nearby and more famous Pointe du Raz. I have visited both and then next time I come here to bring friends, I will focus on the Pointe du Van (also Pointe du Van is free - you have to pay six euros for the Pointe du Raz).

Stunning views
Aug 2017
Cliffs that are located north of the better known Pointe du Raz. I personally prefer this one as it offers very nice walking opportunities, there are fewer people, it is not touristically exploited and parking is for free. Views are fantastic ; definitely recommended when you are in the region.

No finer place for walks on the cliffs above the water.

Ample parking, beautiful paths, quiet, nature, birds. There's also a small stone chapel. On the way to the Pointe, check out La Baie des Trépassés beach. Unlike the Pointe du Raz, there's no admission fee.

Amazing views

Pointe du Van is a magnificent site for appreciating the boulders that line the shoreline and nature's ebb and flow of the water. A stunning place to reflect.

Lovely walk
Apr 2016
Love this area, so pretty in spring and so open and wild the rest of the time. There is a wonderful little church on the cliffs that is dedicated to fishermen/Mariners. Usually open so you can go and look or sit or just feel holy for a while. Not too far to walk from the car park , maybe 5-6 mins? Toilet by car park if needed.
