Many buildings display an overwhelming amount of items ranging from steam engines, combustion engines, agriculture equipment, an old school house, mining museum, blacksmith shop, and steam trains. Volunteers were very friendly and informative.

This is a delightful place for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon visit. Steam engines of all sizes and the Mining Museum shows all of the minerals and rocks mined in CT - way beyond what I would have thought.

Great place for a family trip. A lot of walking, bumping your head and slipping... But it was cool. The staff were really informative as well.

We happened upon this enclave of all things mechanical quite by chance on a weekday when it was us and a school group touring. None of the many displays were running as they seem to do on weekends, which would have been even cooler. Well...More

Steam powered everything is the theme here, stuff from the turn of the century in 1900. Helpful and interesting staff and volunteers added another dimension to the visit. Look for the festival weekend when more stuff is brought in.
