Carrasole ride in the park

We took a walk thrust the park and spotted an old carousel. This was one of the best $1 spent for the long ride.

Try to book your visit to Hartford so that it definitely includes a Monday in July- August. Monday's at Bushnell includes an amazing array Jazz Bands each week.

We hold our opening ceremonies and awards dinner their every year for Basement Systems annual convention. We brought well over 500 people this year. The food and the staff were excellent. Easy access to the auditorium. The auditorium was magnificent. They know how to handle a huge crowd. Looking forward to next year.

A great place to sit and eat, enjoy free jazz music provided by the City of Hartford, perfect for walks and runs and children can play.

This is a wonderful park to stroll around. Several nice fountains, and a lot of grand trees gives you shade when it's hot.

With a dozen poke-stops and a large number of Pokemon it's a must visit place for any players. And you don't need to do a full circuit for them to reset - but it's a great place for a walk!

We stopped to stretch our legs here and the park was pretty well maintained. The carousel on site was a fun novelty and there were fish to watch in the pond. Not a big destination spot unless you are local or passing through but a seemingly safe spot to walk around.

Park is large and was virtually void of people when I was there on a Friday afternoon. I would appreciate the solitude in the wilderness, but it was almost eerie for a public park. I hope the City of Hartford offers activities and events here during the summer and on the weekends to encourage people to enjoy this downtown treasure.

Went to a Jazz and Blues Fest in Bushnell Park on a beautiful Saturday afternoon-evening. The historic park is a great place to see outdoor concerts. It is beautiful with the Hartford skyline in one direction and the golden dome of the State Capital in another direction. Take a walk around the park and enjoy the beauty of Connecticut in... More

There are a lot of offerings from Thai, jamaican and seafood. Paved side walks which makes this location a lunch time favorite.
