This convention center looks like other convention centers that I've been to for conferences and expos, although this space manages to feel both professional and welcoming. There's plenty of space - some convention centers cram too much into a smaller space, but this center knows how to utilize all of its space without being overwhelming. There are also places to sit and plug in your electronics if you'll be here a while, which is great! Everything runs efficiently and on-time, and the center's staff are friendly and are able to help you find the event you need, the restrooms, and food promptly and in a friendly manner. You can park at the convention center itself or at the next-door science center.

We attended for a volleyball tournament that showcased 230 teams. No complaints whatsoever on how the event was set up and run. There were several common areas outside of the playing area to sit or plug in. Didn't realize until the second day that there was an upstairs that featured a bar and food court with more seating, a big screen TV, a lounge area and plug in areas with free WiFi. There was a terrace as well. You can find a Starbucks in the Marriott and in the FedEx area. Parking was packed but you just had to keep circling up - the higher the floor, the more availability. Easy covered access from the parking garage to the center. If staying at one of the hotels other than the Marriott (which is connected), you can take the DASH shuttle which runs every 15 minutes and is clean and spacious. Bring something to keep you warm because it was freezing but that's to be expected. Gotta keep the air circulating in an event like this. Food is available for purchase inside - pricey but also to be expected. Overall great experience.

My friend's daughter had two proms here. While the daughter was enjoying the event upstairs, my friend and I had drinks and dinner downstairs. Great food!

This year, today, was the first time I attended The Connecticut Flower Show. I thought a perfect outing for a rainy February Sunday— flowers in perfusion that would certainly brighten the day. Now, I was not expecting The Rose Bowl or even a diorama scene by a Hollywood set designer re-creating a scene from Please Don’t Eat The Daisies. Apparently this year had a Parisian theme— perhaps several French flower market carts overflowing with FLOWERS? Nope— they had a couple of displays intending to be a nod to Paris— a pretty pink bicycle with a few small baskets of flowers thrown in. Something you would expect to see in any grocery store heralding Spring has sprung. Nothing to write home about. As I walked through the dozens & dozens of vendors, many selling items having nothing to do with flowers or horticulture whatsoever, I wondered if anyone from this event had ever travelled to Holland. Because if they ever had, they would have seen what flowers in profusion would look like. This event was so dismal that it should either be drastically, and I mean DRASTICALLY improved in the future, or discontinued entirely. Because as a native Connecticut resident I felt completely and thoroughly ashamed of this sorry attempt at a FLOWER SHOW.

I was in Hartford for business (#ASTC2018) and pleasure (family). The convention center is very clean and well-kept. There is a business center available for use, they have Starbucks, and it is connected to the Hartford Marriott Downtown, which is extremely convenient. Some of the nicest staff on hand that I've encountered in the years that I've attended conferences and conventions. They were pleasant, professional, helpful, their presentation was impeccable, and they were just really nice people. They made the overall experience that much better.

Attended the convention center for 2018 Connecticon. This is the cleanest venue I have ever been to for any event. Staff everywhere to keep all areas immaculate. There were plenty of charging stations for electronics on every floor. It was a great experience for myself and my kids.

This convention center is spacious and exceptionally clean! The staff was amazingly kind during the entire duration of the conference. The air conditioning works very well so I advise you bring a sweater/wrap/light jacket.

We went to a Stitches United convention here. I couldn't get over how clean they kept it with all of the people that were attending! The staff were all so accommodating and nice. It was a terrific experience.

My wife was attending a knitting convention. The parking was easy, covered and next door. The center has clean rest rooms, elevators, and moving stairs. A clean building and inviting to go to.
