On a recent trip to the Northeast we had fun touring two state capitols in one day. Our second capitol of the day was the Connecticut State Capitol in Hartford. They had guided tours, but we missed the last one of the day, so we grabbed a self-guide tour book and made our way around the building. I loved seeing... More

Recently while attending the St. Patrick's day parade I happened into the Capital building and was in awe. While I did not have an actual tour I loved seeing so much history. The building is impressive. I can't wait to go back.

Came here for a demonstration so I've only seen the outside, but the facade is intricate and beautiful, and the grounds are very pretty as well.

The CT States Capitol is a beautiful structure inside and out. I've there for both business and for community related events. One of my favorite buildings to photograph each season.

I toured the Capitol on a previous visit, this time I just went to get tourist information on other sites in the area. The woman working the desk could not have been any more helpful and friendly

One of the most beautiful capital buildings in America. The tour guides are excellent...if you love Victorian period architecture and want to see one of the most expensive capital buildings built in the US come and see this gorgeous building!

What a wealth of information we received during our hour tour of this very historic building which housed many functions and famous speakers. The rooms are magnificient and the FREE tour guide was full of information and stories. There were only 4 of us on the tour so we had a personal touch added to our day.

Another "must see" for CT locals and tourists. This beautiful building, both inside and outside, will amaze you. The outside of the building has several statues and with the shiny golden dome looks like a huge Victorian Wedding Cake. It's a great photo opportunity in the fall with the colorful foliage in full bloom. .

After lunch, I had about few hours to kill before picking up my wife from work to go home in Pennsylvania I stopped the State Capitol. It is very beautiful outside and inside but unfortunately it was cold and windy so I had to run inside. I took the tour along with 5th grade students from West Hartford school. The... More
