What a wealth of information we received during our hour tour of this very historic building which housed many functions and famous speakers. The rooms are magnificient and the FREE tour guide was full of information and stories. There were only 4 of us on the tour so we had a personal touch added to our day.

Another "must see" for CT locals and tourists. This beautiful building, both inside and outside, will amaze you. The outside of the building has several statues and with the shiny golden dome looks like a huge Victorian Wedding Cake. It's a great photo opportunity in the fall with the colorful foliage in full bloom. .

Very Beautiful Building especially as the sun rose in the morning. The setting was made better by the changing of the colors on the trees...

Too bad I am still paying for it! Wow they spared no expense it seems in building this palace! There are a few exhibits that are very interesting and maybe you'll get to see the government at work or people yelling at them outside.

Her Bucket List is to see all the state Capitol Buildings and take the tours. This is one of the better ones we have been on because the tour guide was personable, knowledgeable, and cared for the people on the tour to make sure they had the best experience possible. The building itself is easy to find, easy to park... More

Very nice kept building. So much great history. The architecture is stunning. I would highly recommend the guided tour. It lasts about 45 minutes and the guides are wonderfully knowledgeable.

This is a beautiful building and all of the staff we encountered were wonderful representives for Connecticut. Brian Skehan was especially kind and helpful even recommending a place for lunch. We had a very nice guided tour. We have visited over 40 state capitol buildings and thus was one of my favorites. A friendly welcoming staff made our visit that... More
