It is such a great way of teaching the youth of today and sharing what the lives of of men were, living in that submarine and educate them, even for a short period of time experiencing it.

Give the visitor a real feel for the issues a submariner faced every day. Amazing to see the very close quarters and creative use of space which was at a minimum. I am a Coast Guart vet and now even more than ever appreciate what...More

We were in the area and had some extra time and took the time to see this historic site. Very interesting that there is no charge because the Navy pays for it as well as having active military personnel to get you on the sub....More

Historic site. Lots of history. Be sure to tour the submarine. Tour is self guided and you can take as long as you want. The museum is a must do. So much history and detail. No admission and free parking.

Very interesting tour. Self guided with audio through out the sub. You will see how they worked & lived in small space on the sub.

My husband wanted to tour the sub so we did. My impression when all was said and done is that I give a lot of credit to the people who lived on this sub for many months. It was very cramped quarters for those people....More

Opportunity of a lifetime for those who have never been on a submarine. Highly recommended! Free self guided tour. Our 73 year old aunt, who is in pretty good shape, went onboard and loved it...only struggled a bit with going over bulkheads but nothing big.

This Nautilus won't take you to 20,000 Leagues, but it's a great chance to get a look at what life is like aboard a nuclear sub. The self guided tour is a sure-fire hit for young kids and military, maritime buffs. Well worth a stop!

we enjoyed the nautilus tour and were surprised when our 5 year old granddaughter wanted to go back for another visit. I think she enjoyed seeing how the sailors lived in such tight quarters and listening to the audio tour, FREE too!!
