Great children's programs developed for specific age groups. I'm most familiar with the pre-school groups. Most of them fill up pretty quickly so register in advance. The Librarians are very capable and make everyone feel welcome.

A very modern library, with computer stations and plenty of quiet reading nooks. Good lighting in the shelves. The collection is first rate, including recorded books. The reference staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

Each library in Connecticut is a gem and this one is no exception. The adult and children's departments are on different floors. That is a big advantage since the visitors to the children's department seek company for their little ones and the adults seek solitude and quiet to settle down in a comfy chair and read their favourite book. I... More

The library is quiet, clean and has such a large selection of print and digital media. Kids walk here after school to study as well.

When I approached the librarian to ask if it was okay to set up my computer, she asked if I needed a private meeting room. Wow - yes! Room was small with enough room for my client meeting and no charge. Confidential conversation. How can you beat that. I probably should not be telling anyone about this as I may... More

Not only is Welles-Turner Memorial Library a quiet and well-organized place to find all that you are looking for, it is well managed; fabulous and pleasant staff, and offers opportunity to get involved in a variety of programs. I highly recommend this gem in the center of Glastonbury.

My library card is the most used plastic in my wallet. I frequent many libraries. This library offers so many items which are in demand today. They are a bit more progressive with expenses also put forward to DVDs and music. Treat local and out-of-towners both wonderfully compared to other libraries such as Hebron's Douglas Library that charge their own... More

The library is friendly and sectioned off into teens, children, adult stacks for fiction, and a large collection of dvds. Take the stairs or elevator (or come in from Main St for ground level entry) upstairs for meeting rooms, magazines, non-fiction, audio books, and computers.
