Our town library is a great resource. The staff is always helpful. If you are in town and need a computer or Internet visit the library. Magazines and newspapers are available as well. Cool comfort is summer, come and hang out.

Every year Essex Library has their annual book sale. I get so excited I can hardly sleep the night before. This year was the best yet. Tables and tables of books. Travel, children's, History and novels. Hardcover and soft cover. The selection was outstanding. This library is so charming and has the most wonderful volunteers. It also got me back... More

A place to relax and read the paper, books, and use the computer; I used the computer there often for many years... I also went to a chocolate tasting event at this library in 2012 or 2013 on a Sunday afternoon. And I also went to a lecture in the evening about ghosts; great time at both events.

An excellent library in historic Essex. Fairly new and complete with an excellent children's section. Computers for public use. The library is friendly, very clean and comfortable. Always a nice selection of free books in the foyer as you enter.

Our library is small for a small town but it has the ability to source books and videos from other area libraries. The staff is very cheerful and helpful. They offer to reserve later discs in the series you are following so they are ready when you are. They have a wonderful children's area with a very complete Thomas the... More

The staff at the Essex Library are the most helpful and happy librarians I know. They go out of there way to help, and are always happy to recommend a book or a resource.

I love our Essex Library of which I am a member. The staff are so helpful and very pleasant to deal with. It's a wonderful place to browse and if a book is not on the shelf, the staff will order it and send an email notifying when it's ready for pick up. Great service! The only reason I give... More

So much goes on at this library I have to pick and choose and miss some attractive programs because of time. I belong to library book clubs, watch opera movies, listen to authors, attend debates, play bridge and on and on. One really handy service is the book-a-librarian which anyone can do who needs tech help with any of their... More
