very scenic with lots of water views and curves to enjoy. There are a couple of farms, and some cute little towns off the beaten path. In one area old established restaurants on shoreline and brewery.

Cute homes along the way, sweet foodies. Don't miss Buds' Clam Deli............spicy crab.......eat with a fork with crackers, on the road! Great fish there to take home. And of course you drive along the Long Island Sound.

You need to be in fairly good shape, but bike the scenic route of 146. I always did until my bikes needed repair. Go by swamps, old houses, you can bike up to the Ocean. A few big hills.

This is a wonderful shoreline drive. The area is simply beautiful and safe. Drive slowly because everyone else may be viewing the scenery not the traffic. Be looking for people on bicycles.

I've just recently started cycling Rt. 146 from Guilford to Stony Creek. It's a rolling, relatively easy 10 mile stretch - a great out and back if you park at The Green in Guilford or Lenny's in Branford. Generally little traffic; many nice vistas to...More

If you just want to take a drive, route 146 is the most scenic and tranquil route in the area. It's your typical country road with all of its twists and turns.
