The sleigh ride and dinner was an absolute hit! We’d read so many reviews for different places, but the locals recommended 4 Eagle and it was perfect. Like stepping into a Hallmark Christmas movie! The food was delicious. The atmosphere superb. You could tell the owners took pride in seeing their guests have a good time. There was a live musician that was talented and very entertaining during dinner. The fire pit outside with s’mores was also a great touch. I recommend an earlier dinner reservation time if you can snag it before the sun goes down, because the ranch scenery is stunning. Would definitely do this again.

My wife and two adult sons went here while on vacation in Vail.

What a blast! We loved everything about it. Real ranch look to the place. It is not a working ranch now just a tourist adventure. The original ranch was 25000 acres but it only has 1000 acres now.

We got to do the wagon ride which is short, only about 15 minutes. However that was plenty of time to take in the scenery and take some pictures.

We then got to get the chili appetizer which was great. Then we got dinner. The dinner was awesome but one side note here. Their website said filet. What we got was beef shoulder which is a far cry from filet. However they also offered a chicken which was outstanding. They also had some mixed veggies and a chili Mac and cheese. Yum!

During dinner we had live entertainment by the fireplace in the dining area. Now live entertainment can be hit or miss depending on who you get. We happen to hit because this guy was great. We really enjoyed the whole evening. Well worth the trip.

We had a great time on the Jeep tour. Starts off on the ranch, you start heading up through the scrubland into the mountains where the scenery changes dramatically. The driver was great, very informative, and the Jeep was in great condition so we felt safe. He stopped at the summit (around 11,000+ feet) for a "Bumper Buffet," of cheese, crackers, fruit snacks, trail bars, water and lemonade. One of the other guides is from Austria and you can hear him yodeling. Lots of fun.

Watched a guide (male with almost waist long hair, very distinguishable) giving his introduction to the trail riders. He was violently whipping completely docile horse in every direction, extremely heavy had, wrenching on the horses mouth. It was awful to watch.

(Another person mentioned this same man's behavior in regards to a situation with being aggressive in his speaking to other adults while in another area.)

I have never been to an outfit where the guides treated their horses this harsh- especially for a trail ride introduction.

Difficult to watch, and will recommend business elsewhere with that behavior. Hope staff will address this issue. You, staff, know your employees an whether you find this comment to be in agreement with what you see.

I hope others will speak up if they see this.

Our family spent some time over Christmas break in the Beaver Creek area, and this was one of the things we did. Overall it was a good experience - the food, live music, hosts, atmosphere and facilities were all just great! The sleigh ride was a little underwhelming and short, however part of the blame goes to the fact that there was neither moon or clear sky full of stars to enhance the experience. For the price we probably wouldn't do the sleigh ride again, but might be interested in their activities at other times of the year.

Hi Larry, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your Sleigh Ride Dinner experience. I'm sorry you found the sleigh ride to be underwhelming as it's normally a highlight of the evening. We do keep them short, especially while you were here, because it's been so cold and it's about all guests can take. It's also why we offer more than one ride, so everyone can come in and warm up before going out again. The price also includes the solo guitarist, in addition to the sleigh rides and buffet. We would love to see you come back in the summer months to experience zip lining, horseback riding, jeep tours, razor tours, paintball and wine tasting! Have a wonderful rest of your winter. Sincerely, 4 Eagle Ranch

We stayed two nights at the attached Collective Vail outdoor camping/glamping site. While there we toured the Ranch property, had a pre-prepared steak dinner and stopped at the on-site winery (which serves California-picked wines. The horses in a corral were an entertaining sight. Some features were closed (probably because of pandemic state restrictions) but we had an enjoyable time, viewing wildlife (hawks, owls, ground squirrels) and walking to our adjoining tent site. We used our SUV to visit backroads and hamlets for most of a day.

We had 8 adults and 4 little ones, ages 5 to 7. It is hard to say who had the best time.
The sleigh ride under the stars was beautiful and the food, especially the Chili was divine.
I even got to sing a song with the wonderful guitar playing cowboy.

Beware of the 20% gratuity that they add without them telling you they are adding it. Our guides horse kept going spooked and would not move forward half the time which made the trail ride very slow and the other horses just sat there. Very disappointed in our 2 hour ride.

We have visited 4 Eagle a few times before as we love going out there! This visit was a little different. We went to the New Years’ Eve dinner. It was not in the same building as last year and while I much prefer the log cabin dinners, this was a pleasant surprise. First- the food- was a foodie’s dream. I am from Chicago and consider myself a snob. WOW. The management mentioned that people seemed to prefer the event in the log building. I get it… but the staff, the band, and the food were fantastic. If I were to have a formal event- this would be the place to do it. In the event building. Next year they will have NYE in the log building and I will go. Come, be hungry, take a sleigh ride, and relax. They got this.
