Captain Jack's skill was unbelievable! While he was flying he gave interesting tidbits about the area and the different mountain ranges he turned the balloon so that everyone could see what he pointed out. He landed the craft with a very smooth decent and landing! Sue took us all back for a great lesson in the history of balloon flight and a traditional flute of champagne with breakfast treats. I can't say enough about how professional the whole team was. This was our 45th wedding anniversary and were glad that we picked Grand Balloon Adventures for our trip!

I went up in August of last year. It was a most amazing experience and memorable day! Captain Jack is a very professional and knowledgeable pilot, and I was very impressed on his knowledge about the Fraser Valley and it's history, as well as Grand County.
Sue was also very professional and pleasant, as well as safety oriented in addition to being an amazing photographer.
I was a beautiful day in their kolidascope Balloon, where we spotted some deer and antelope on the ridge and could see for many miles.
It was an experience that I hold very dear to my heart!
I recommend that everyone put this on their bucket list, and getter done!

Captain Jack is not only an amazing captain but also add “tour guide” to his repertoire. We learned so much about the area, the names of all the mountain peaks surrounding the Fraser Valley, and the colorful history of the county. We landed light as a feather, right side up…a first for this veteran flyer. Touché!

What a fabulous team! They make it an absolute pleasure and so smooth and easy to ride. We had very young and very old in our group and we all had so much fun. Sue is so much fun to listen to and Captain Jack knows what he is doing so you know you are in good hands. His eagle eyes saw animals we didn't and very knowledgeable overall. If you are in Colorado and want to fly, definitely consider them. I recommend.

My family and I were so excited to be going on our first balloon flight. The reason I could only give it an average rating is because of the area we hovered over. I understand that the pilot may be limited as to where he can go but the surrounding area wasn't very appealing. I was bored after about 20 minutes. I felt as though we were just going around in circles. I also would have liked to hear more about the balloon itself rather than hearing about some less interesting facts about the area. I do have to say that the breakfast after the flight was very nice. And I really appreciated the beautiful pictures that were taken of us. I wish I could say this experience had the WOW factor but it just didn't for the hefty price we paid.

Sorry you dont like history of man's first flight or of the area. In the 1st minutes Captain Jack talks about balloon
Did you listen to the history of the area because its very enjoyable and the scenery is phenomenal here! 10 Best in USA and 10 Most Beautiful in the World to Balloon. Sorry it wasn't up to your wow factor. You reached 1000s of feet to see peaks into to 7 counties and RMNP. The Captain is a very skilled and safe pilot with perfect Saftey Record flying for over 30 years. All the while concentrating flying with the wind, keeping you safe and giving you a tour of the area. Im sure we explained to you about Valley flying which is called Box Flying. Maybe you don't understand what you or the Cpt just did to keep you off 13,000 ft Mountains that surrounded you during your flight. Its a skill and a science that he is incredibly good at. If you had questions you should have asked. We hope you at the least walked away learning from the wealth of info we provided to you. And the safe gentle landing and flight we provided as well. It is a aircraft that flys with the wind. No 2 flights are ever the same. You traveled several miles, very high too and the Captain boxed you back. Now thats skill! Glad you could get your Official Aeronaut Status checked! If you are looking for 5 to 15 mile flights where you don't get above 500 ft with a drag landing go in a flat area. Those aren't feather like, like the landing this Cpt gave you here in the Colorado Rockies. Here is To Gentle Breezes and Soft Landings!

We spent a FANTASTIC morning flying with Jack and Sue!! Went with my 2 kids (10 and 12 yrs old), my sister, and mother. Everyone loved it! It was absolutely beautiful and Jack was full of history and information about the area. Sue picked us up and had a lovely picnic of champagne, coffee, and breakfast treats. Highly recommend this to anyone in the area!

This was the second time I’ve been out with Sue & Jack. It was amazing! They take good care explaining everything you will experience. Very knowledgeable about local & balloon history. Jack is a great pilot with Sue taking some memorable photos.
We saw several moose and a doe with her fawns. Great views of the surrounding Mountains for miles.
They took great precautions with Covid..I wouldn’t hestitate to take a trip of a life time!

This was my 4th balloon ride, two in other states and one in Europe. Grand Adventure provided the best flight experience and location at the lowest rate. The balloon ride was the highlight of our visit to Winter Park.

Our adventure was fabulous with Grand Adventure Balloon Tours in the Winter Park Fraser Valley. What a awesome way to see the area! We took the whole family, it is wonderful for all ages. Grand Adventures crew and pilot are the best!!! Thank you for a spectacular trip! When visiting Colorado its an experience you don't want to miss.

Have flown w/ Jack and Sue many times, always see somthing new in the Valley. When family visits this is always on their list. So cool when the Aspens are changing in late Sept, early October that is the time of year I highly recommend!! Thanks and see ya soon guys!!
