This golf course is a very challenging and fun course for golfers of all levels. My husband and I have gone to Pelican Lakes a few times and the 9 hole is very fun. The drink cart comes by about once, so catch it while you can, but if there are more golfers then they will have two carts coming around. I love the ninth hole that is an island in one of the lakes and it also has a food shack with snacks and drinks at the ninth hole. You can either stop and enjoy watching people try and make it onto the island with the final pin or grab something quick and keep going.
Either way, very affordable and well kept course!

Went here for dinner recently after having not visited for probably a decade. We liked the location back then but the food wasn’t great. Heard that it had improved and decided to give it another try. The food was definitely better. I had the salmon, risotto and veggies and it was tasty but loaded with tons of butter.

The thing that blew my mind was that it still looked pretty much the same inside as it did back then . For such a beautiful location with high ceilings and nice wooden walls, the dining room is terrible. I felt like I was in a Denny’s or Perkins. This place could be an upscale restaurant if they redid the dining room and got a professional to decorate it. Ok so maybe they don’t want to be that upscale but Windsor is dying for good restaurants so anything would be an improvement.

While the food was better, it wasn’t good enough to get me back and the ambiance was so lacking that this alone would make me continue to drive to FC for dinner. Really want to try to support local business but they make it hard.

Don't go play golf here, well at least not right now. They will not let you drive golf cart on the grass. Its cart path only golf (which is not what you pay for). There are plenty of other golf courses around this area that lets you take the cart on the grass.

We were there for a wedding recently- which is very expensive- and the coordinator there made everyone feel like it was a horrible inconvenience for her to have to deal with this wedding- which is her JOB! The coordinator was no where to be found all day, until about 20 mins before the ceremony when we tracked her down for transportation for the bride.

The ceremony went fine, had to be moved from the original location because a storm destroyed the first site and they were unable to sufficiently repair it to make it appropriate looking for a wedding. Fine, they were helpful with this, but when we asked them about signs directing people to the location, they assured us they would put visible signs up so guests would not get lost. This was not done at all- and the location is extremely confusing for their "premier wedding site".

The dinner was less than impressive as far as the food went, the wait staff once inside was terrific, they obviously do not take lessons from their boss, who did not follow through on much.

Overall, there are an infinite amount of better locations for a wedding in CO, dont waste your money, go somewhere else.

Absolutely terrible service.
Waited for nearly 10 minutes just for some one to
come to the reception/reservation desk.
Finally got a seat outside and waited another 8 minutes for
some one to come to us.
Ordered a cocktail and asked for a glass of Ice. I waited
nearly 15 Minutes for that!
Finally got our food, which had the fries and the onion rings on the wrong plates.
That, in it self probably not that big of a deal, but based on the way
things had gone, well you get the picture.
Food was bland and cold. Cubano sandwich and my wife had the
cheeseburger.
This is not the first time we have been disappointed, but we keep
hoping things will change.
My hope has faded, won't be back.

We live on the back side of the course in the Water Valley South subdivision. The whole are is great. The course is pretty and the the clubhouse. The pool is small but great for the kids. We moved here in 2010 and there was barely any houses on our street and now it's packed along with the club. It used to be that you knew everyone and now you see new people and traffic everyday. The restaurant at the club used to be Austin's and has now changed their name, menu and prices have went up extremely and the menu offers nothing really. The restaurant after it was Austin's was the best and so was the menu. Now it changes all the time. It's not kid friendly, very few options and very pricey. I guess I liked how it was and wish the club would be a one out one in so the place wasn't always so busy.

The Falls 9 is a fun and well maintained track, and a higher handicapped golfer would really love it. It still has enough challenges and scenic holes for all golfers, just not as lengthy. It is not as crowded and just a lot of fun

This listing started out as a golf course rating for golfers but based on recent reviews seems it has become a food critic forum.

Back to the golf, Pelican Lakes is in great shape for October with the greens espicially nice. Many different tee combinations you can play, i played blue/white at 6285 yards at a 69.6 ranking and 127 slope. Beautiful water holes everywhere, strategic sand traps, more dog leg rights, and great views everywhere.
