Small museum for a lot of information. The Mining Museum explained how miners in a long forgotten era worked, lived and mined. Has an interesting piece about the Ludlow massacre and showed what conditions they lived through during the winter.

Carolyn Newman gave us an excellent out though the former jail. A small area packed with information and memorabilia, even a nightingale in a cage that sings. Driving through who would have thought 125 miles of tunnels were below the streets.

A very interesting museum, a lot of local history. Mining was the important and main employer in early Walsenburg. People came from all over the world to settle there and work the mines.
