Guide, Joe Biebel, was really good. Learned to set anchors and have had my kids climbing on them since so seems to work!

We contacted Paragon about 2 weeks prior to a trip to Vail, requesting two separate hikes (one half and one full day) and they were thankfully able to accommodate us during a very busy time for them. Our guide for both hikes was Joe B., who was extremely knowledgeable and tons of fun. We appreciated that Joe gave us options for our hikes, based on our interests and skill level...he also carried some great snacks and tasty lunch (for the full day hike). We were able to summit Uneva Peak and on our second hike, make it to Pitkin Lake, both of which were gorgeous, but different. Joe made us feel completely safe but also challenged us. We had a wonderful time both days - certainly the highlight[s] of 9 days out in Colorado - would definitely use Paragon again [and again]. Thank you!

We took our three young boys on the llama lunch hike and had a blast. Our boys loved every second and turns out, they don’t complain as much on long hikes when llamas are along. It was such a fun and different experience and I highly recommend the hike. The kids even got to take the llamas on a little obstacle course and feed them when we got back. Truly an unforgettable experience. I’m sure all do the guides ar great, but we had a wonderful time with Joe!

My 14 year old son and myself climbed and skied Homestake Peak with guide Jerry Oliver. Fantastic and fun experience with great powder! As always, Jerry was very safe and professional.

My sister and I spent a long weekend in Vail this past weekend. While Vail Village was pretty dead and our hotel seemed to be 10% occupied, we were determined to find something that wasn't closed due to "off-season." My sister found Paragon Guides and our snow-shoeing adventure was the highlight of our weekend in Vail. Jim was our guide and was amazing before, during and after the trip. He called prior to the weekend to understand our hopes for the half day excursion. While I was a little hesitant about vertical climbs at 10,000+ elevation, Jim eased my worries by being very thoughtful about the path we took. Jim took care of everything. Sent a detailed email of how we should prepare for the 1/2 day, what to wear, etc. Day of, he was on time to pick us up from the hotel, brought a ton of extra supplies in case we needed extra layers, backpacks, etc. He also packed warm tea and snacks for us to enjoy during our time on the mountain. The sights were breathtaking, Jim has great stories to share, and it was an all around great day. Really earned the hot tubbing and decadent hot chocolate that happened at the hotel following snow shoeing! Thanks Jim!!!
