Bike along Vail Pass
Aug 2019 • Couples
We had a great time biking along the Vail Pass. Bike Valet was great. Good equipment, friendly, reasonably priced. 20% off if you purchase in advance. Highly recommend them. We will come back next year.

Great service
Aug 2019
Tom provided great service, answered our questions and set us up for a 10 am departure the following day. Their equipment and transport van were in great shape. We were first driven to the Vail pass so we could ride into Frisco where we had lunch. Then Tom picked us up in Frisco to return to Vail pass so we could ride into Vail. It was an easy ride, all downhill. The path is in great shape. The scenery was beautiful. Duration of the excursion, including lunch, was about 5 hours.

ONLINE RENTERS BEWARE!
Sep 2017 • Friends
I despise leaving negative reviews and feel great remorse for doing so, however in this case I feel like I need to warn others. Rented 3 mountain bikes (around $120) for a Thursday in advance of our trip. I was on the phone with the guy as he walked me through the choices I needed to make for the reservation. Paid for and done. When we arrived to pick up our bikes, he then tells us that the Eagle Bahn gondola has routine maintenance on Thursdays....but for an additional $$$ he can drive us to a paved bike trail. This completely defeats the purpose of MOUNTAIN biking. Oh, and NO REFUND since we booked in advance online. NO APOLOGY or any remorse from this guy. I will never be able to promote a deceiving business like Ski & Bike Valet. Stay away! There are many more options available.

A must-do in Vail....incredible experience!
Sep 2016
During our recent visit to Vail, Ski and Bike Valet was recommended to us by the hotel concierge as a source of bike rentals for negotiating Vail Pass down into Vail Village. This became one of the most terrific things my wife and I have ever done together. The owner, Tom, was so accommodating, and our driver, Scott, gave a running commentary when driving us to the starting point on the Pass, making sure we understood the route we would be taking. I cannot say enough good things about this company........they re-defined hospitality and customer service for me.......when we return to Vail in the future, and repeat adventure with them will definitely be on our agenda.

Great reasonable bike rental!
Sep 2016 • Friends
Our resort recommended a different company but chanced upon Ski & Bike Valet while dining at Moe's. Tom answered all our questions and told us the Vail Pass bike trail is self explanatory. He was so right! He fitted 7 speed uprights for us. We were leisure biking so they were perfect for our purpose. He showed us where to turn to get a more scenic ride and where to turn to avoid the golf course. Bike rental kept simple.

Bike Rental and Shuttle to Vail Pass
Sep 2015 • Couples
Overall my experience with the Ski & Bike Valet was not that great. It started out with not receiving the 20% discount advertised on the web (they say you needed to book 2 days in advance, but I did not see that in their advertisement). The bikes were not that great and they did not do too good of a job fitting us to the bikes. Although it is not their fault I did not think that taking the bike ride down to Vail from Vail Pass was near as great as going from Vail Pass to Frisco (in addition to being more scenic, the vendors going the other direction are less expensive, give you the bike for all day, and Frisco is a nicer town to shop in if you are not rich). I recommend going the other way from Vail Pass, but if you do this ride I highly recommend going to the Betty Ford Garden that you pass on the way to town.

Beautiful Day Biking the Vail Pass
Jul 2015 • Family
Highly recommended doing the Vail Pass bike trip with Vail Ski and Bike Valet. Our group (2 adults and 4 teens) had an amazing time biking the 16 mile downhill trip and enjoying the all the beauty CO has to offer. The people at Vail Ski and Bike we're professional and friend. They had ours bikes ready upon arrival, fitted us for our helmets and gave us great directions whiling traveling to our drop off point. The kids had so much fun! Thanks!

Horrible customer service
Jul 2014
Their business model seems to be based on misleading customers with oral agreements, followed by an attempt to add on lots of extra charges later. We rented 4 bikes for 3-5 days each, and their first attempt at a bill was almost 2X the price we agreed when we rented. They tried to charge a higher price for each bike + extra for an insurance policy + extra for a equipment they implied was included + extra for longer time than we had the bikes. After 30 minutes of "negotiating", we left with a bill that was "only" 50% higher than we agreed. We will now continue debate with American Express to get our money back. The owner's attitude was horrendous, and he said he is fine with the fact that his employee mislead customers on pricing. This was among the worst customer service Experiences I can recall. Their model is clearly designed to extract extra charges and rely on the fact that customers are from out of town. We had great experiences at two other bike shops on town (Wheels and Bike Tech).

This bike rental place is rubbish.
Jul 2014
Absolutely disgraceful service. Their equipment is rubbish. Would recommend any of the other bike shops in Vail over this one. Vail's an awesome place to ride - just don't taint your experience by dealing with these guys.
