This was on my bucket list. Safety Safety Safety is the word for the day. I never felt uneasy on any terrain we skied. If the snow wasn’t perfect we didn’t ski it. Trust me there’s plenty of choices. Ben, Jenna, Barrett and the gang deliver what they say. Above tree line terrain ski to snowcat, ski into trees with a gully exit to snowcat, steep, medium, it’s all there and we skied it all. They know the terrain and and perform their jobs flawlessly. Afterwards the lunch in the yurt is awesome. Not gourmet food but after a day of hard powder skiing hot soup and sandwiches and goodies hit the spot like no other. Now I will say you should be advanced in your abilities and health to ski the conditions and terrain. Your not out here for a lesson. This was so enjoyable I can’t say enough about them.

I have never written an online review until now. And I am doing so to recommend Vail Powder Guides to anyone who is a fan of skiing. We had a terrific day in March thanks to the great mountains, snow, and guides/staff. Knowledgable, helpful, caring, enthusiastic, and safety conscious are all key characteristics that Ben, Barrett, Kyle, and Todd exhibited throughout the day. I'm looking forward to many more great back country days with this group for years to come. Thank you Vail Powder Guides for an amazing ski day.

Most importantly, VPG deliver what they say. I researched many different Cat outfits in CO and decided to go with them due to great online reviews, and I am glad to confirm that they are accurate. I was a novice to deep un-tracked powder skiing (something we have unfortunately missed out on despite our years of skiing advanced/expert terrain within resorts) and I am immensely thankful to Barrett and Todd for their help and support throughout the day. Ben and Jenna are great hosts and run an effective operation. They make sure you have an epic day.

As my wife said, we'll be chasing that day of skiing for many years. Excellent crew, they are well trained, knowledgeable, safe, and most importantly, they will put you in the fresh snow, period! The two things that made booking with this crew so easy is that if they cannot guarantee you a great trip, they don't go and I think that makes all the difference in securing a date ahead of time, and secondly, they are the only operators in that area, so you have lots untracked terrain they can access. It was the best skiing day we've ever had - lunch was excellent, the staff was amazing - just a perfect day! Shout out to Ben, he cares about your experience more than anyone, awesome guide!

If you’re looking for cheap, this is not it, but it is so worth the cash! These guys are not only the only licensed tour guides in the entire area, they are all super cool and will really try their best to make sure you have the best day possible. They are all conservationists and try to keep the area pristine for the next hundred groups as well as finding the best untouched powder. Even the lunch and snacks were great and water is provided and hydration encouraged. You will not be disappointed!
