My family of 4 novice hikers had our hands full. This hike is not for leisure hikers- we are a relatively fit family with a 10 year old daughter. It took us about 2 hours to make it to the falls with a number of...More

It's 2 miles to the falls and it took us 1 1/2 hours but it was sooo worth it. Stayed up and enjoyed it for quite a while. Watched a rain storm go down the valley, guess we where so high up it barely sprinkled...More

Four of us seniors picked a warm, sunny, afternoon to make this hike - probably not the ideal weather but much better than hiking in the rain. I used two hiking/trekking poles and was very comfortable keeping a slow, steady pace all the way to...More

I am an active walker, not hiker. The facts are this hike climbs 1400 feet. It is approximately 3 miles each way. According to my phone app, I climbed 65 floors. Timewise, it took me two times what I normally walk on flat land. Bring...More

One of the best trails in Vail. Near downtown, easy to get to and you can park on the access road. Comparing this to anything in the RMNP is not fair, but it is a very nice trail. A bit tough at times, but the...More

Numerous beautiful views on this hike with the majority of the ascent feeling like you are climbing hundreds of stairs, but worth every step!

Very enjoyable hike. Some spots were a little strenuous, but overall a moderate hike. Beautiful views of mountains, meadows, flowers, and ultimately the falls. I was short on time, so, I ended my hike at the falls (about 2 miles). I read it can be...More

My husband hiked this trail last September and said in was beautiful. The leaves were turning. It can be chilly in the early morning, but usually in the 65- 70s if sun is out by noon.

As long as there is no snow or rain then I'm sure you can. We hiked in October and the ground was nice and dry. It's not a super difficult hike.

No. Sorry so late to respond. Should be great to spike hike or snowshoe this time of year.
