Beautiful hike. can make it up and down in about 2.5 hours if you're a reasonable hiker. Waterproof boots recommended, as near the top you cross some creeks (my brother did it in sneakers, though, and managed ok) and there's a little snow.

This is a strenuous hike. Make no mistake. The altitude will get you and so will the step incline at the beginning. It takes a good 2 hours to get to the falls as the trail is difficult. It takes a monster effort to get...More

his is a very popular trail so expect to not be hiking alone. A pretty good climb up to the falls. You can continue on to Booth Lake which is another 2 miles beyond the falls. Our 5-year-old, with some complaining, made it up to...More

We hiked this trail on a weekday, hoping to avoid the crowds. It was still busy. The falls are beautiful and well worth the two mile hike. Part of the hike is easy and part more challenging with uphill segments. Beautiful the entire length of...More

The hike is moderate, and begins with a lot of elevation. It becomes easier in middle and then harder in the end as well. Overall, not very difficult to do. One negative would be that the finale is not as rewarding, because their is no...More

Coming from sealevel we were a little wearing about the steep climb, but it is gradual enough! Pretty views of waterfalls on the way up, you do have to cross 2 small streams (my feet got wet) and go from solid terrain to snow (depending...More

We did this hike in an afternoon when it was not very cold, due to the elevation you have to be very careful and if you have problems with your knees or problems walking I will not recommend you to do this. the trail is...More

Came to Vail to ski but alas there was only manmade snow with 2 trails open. Decided to hike an afternoon and went to the Booth Falls Trail. It was a great walk and the scenery was just majestic - had to watch the ground...More

The views on this hike were amazing! We were only able to hike about 1.5 miles up due to ice and mud, but it was beautiful while it lasted!

The initial portion of the climb can be very steep. About 2 miles up the trail is a 60 foot waterfall, but you must be very close to the stream to view it.

My husband hiked this trail last September and said in was beautiful. The leaves were turning. It can be chilly in the early morning, but usually in the 65- 70s if sun is out by noon.

As long as there is no snow or rain then I'm sure you can. We hiked in October and the ground was nice and dry. It's not a super difficult hike.
