Make sure you bring your bikes when you come to Vail! My family and I ride this trail almost every day at some point while in Vail. We stay in Golden Peak (the best place in Vail) and it's perfect to get to anywhere in Vail down this path!

Who could resist a summer bike ride along the well marked town trail. It leads to the trail that follows I70 over the top of Vail Pass. Once you hit the E end of town it really is a heavy grade uphill. We made it 10 miles from Vail Center, and loved the views and exercise. We stopped 5 miles... More

We are from the land of flat! Totally a blast riding down this path! We did hire a company to take us to the top. I do think that was kinda expensive..$30 per person. We brought our own bikes, so that saved us a few dollars. We were educated on proper path protocol. Passing on your Left! I was not... More

This is one of the favorite places in Vail. You can walk, ride a bike or jog. Do not forget your camera, you will have a lot of stunning views to take pictures and to enjoy looking at them later.

I found myself turning off my music while running to enjoy the sound of the river. It's a nice, challenging run from down by West Vail up past the golf course since it's uphill and over 8,000 ft in elevation, but you're rewarded with a fast dowhnhill going from east to west!

Peaceful bike trail that meanders and at times parallels the water. I rented the bike at Bike Tech in Lionsgate. reasonably priced.

Biking on this path was the highlight of our trip! Beautiful and well maintained. If I could I would be on it every day!

If in Vail, this is a must experience either by walking or biking. The trail/path itself is free. The half day bike rental is ridiculously cheap; we found one for $12.00 each that includes the helmet and is available right there in the village. Be sure to do your research, as the rate is for a 48 hr. advance reservation.... More
