This crew was professional from the onset! We found them all to be courteous and experienced as well.
Our raft guide, Luke (Improv) was fantastic with with my nieces (first rafting trip) and made them feel comfortable in the boat, looking out for our littlest rafter in all rapids.
The lunch they served was fresh, plentiful and delicious! It is prepared at a local deli and the bread is baked daily!
We all had an excellent time and will cherish the memories made forever.

An absolutely incredible experience. Nate was by FAR the best tour guide we’ve ever had and Maddy did an incredible job as well. Nate knew the right size of boat we needed to have the most enjoyable experience on the class 3 rapids and also knew exactly how to instruct us to paddle so we got SOAKED and had a GREAT time. Honestly, I don’t think we’d have had nearly as good of a time with a different company or a different guide for that matter. We had people with zero experience, people who have been on the rapids before, and a friend who can’t even swim. Every last one of us had a great time. We will be back, and we will book with the same guide. You should book with this agency and get Nate or Maddy for sure. 10/10 experience.

My wife and I booked two activities with Timberline Tours - a jeep outing and a white water rafting trip.
My wife had never been on a back-country jeep ride before and was scared. Our guide, Ben, was incredibly experienced, knowledgable, and professional. His jeep was well equipped for emergencies, including a satellite beacon. While the adventure pushed my wife's limits, we throughly enjoyed it thanks to Ben's skill and demeanor. My wife would do it again.
The rafting trip was, likewise, a great success. Their equipment was top rate. Our guide, Andy, was skilled and funny. The lunch at the end of the trip was a good cookout.
I can't say enough nice things about our experiences with Timberline and I can't wait to come back to Colorado to use their services again.

The guide & time on the water were wonderful, but I booked a 4 hour session & we had two 25 min sessions on the water. We had built this up as a highlight of the trip and my grandkids were so disappointed. We spent 3 times longer on the bus to and from Vail than we did in the water. Something should be put on the website about actual rafting time.

Fantastic fun on the Colorado River! Very organized and well run!
Professional employees start with the safety rules, then we gear up for the trip. Gear is provided.
What a wonderful day with stunning views of the canyon, thrills on the rapids, and lots of laughter!
The guides were all so friendly and helpful. Extra thanks to Dan our great guide who skillfully guided us down the whitewater rapids of the river. When floating on the calm parts of the river Dan shared his knowledge of the history and geology of the area. He also entertained us with stories of his world wide rafting adventures .
At the end of our rafting we ended up at a charming and comfortable new wooden building with large deck overlooking the river. Here we enjoyed a tasty lunch with multiple choices. A nice ending to a delightful day.
Then we were transported back to the starting point up river in clean, large, new tour buses with Orlando our excellent, very caring, and entertaining driver.
This is a great adventure! Highly recommended!

Waste of money. They will lie to you and tell you it is 3 hours long and in reality really is maybe half hour. Horrible to do this to people. They should be ashamed of themselves for literally robbing your money and giving you bare minimum. At end of tour they have audacity to ask for tip.

Outstanding! Our Rafting Guide, Nate, made the entire trip enjoyable. Right away, Nate made every effort to personalize the trip, getting to know our names and answer our questions. Right before each rapid, he would give us a small overview of what was to come and even guided the raft so we would get the full effect of each rapid. Don't look any further - this is the company to use. Thanks to everyone, from the desk agent to all of the other guides, you made the trip one to remember.

We went whitewater rafting on the class 3 Shoshone Rapids, and we had a great experience. The driver, Maddie, and the guide, Mike, were both friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Mike had some funny stories and did a great job of guiding us on the boat, and Maddie had some great suggestions for things to do during our stay in Western Colorado. The rafting trip was lots of fun. It was an exhilarating and invigorating experience. I highly recommend whitewater rafting with Timberline Tours!

We had a great mid-day rafting trip with Timberline. Our family of 5, including our special needs daughter, were well taken care of by the staff and especially our guide Mike. Highly recommend this for families for a mix of excitement and leisurely cruising on the river, enjoying the scenery.

So well organized from start to finish, with professional and engaging river guides who clearly love what they do, and who also have extensive knowledge of the river and the area. We had Wiz as our guide, and he was so great! He shared fascinating stories about the history of the surrounding area as we went down the river. And then the BBQ lunch at the end was also really nice and well thought through, with scenic views of the river. Photos were an optional purchase at the end. We would definitely go again!

Timberline Tours offers the option of picking up guests from a list of area accommodations, and some of our trips have the option of a discount for driving yourself to a meeting location or to the boathouse from which the trip is departing. If you are unsure of what option you chose, or if you would like to know what options are available, please call our central office at 970.476.1414. Thank you!

What is available to do in the first two weeks of November? I have a family of seven ranging between ages 12-44. Any suggestions?

I would contact various companies that provide activities to see what they offer. Usually they will also suggest other activities in the area that they don't offer. Use the Internet or a local travel agency or even social media for your research.
