We rented a snowmobile from Buzz this week and toured the backcountry north of Vail. Spectacular trip!! Snowmobile was almost new and worked flawlessly over our 3 days. Johnny at Buzz took care of us excellently, great customer service. Totally recommend trying this out and seeing the backcountry at its finest.

We had an excellent time on the performance sleds. Johnny had everything ready to go and gave us all the information on where to ride. It was definitely a 1st class operation and the highlight of our trip out there. The machines performed flawlessly and the weather was perfect. We were able to explore at our own pace and found some breathtaking views and riding areas in the backcountry. We will definitely be back again!

Buzz's unguided rentals were simply fantastic! We have never completed a guided tour, but after going out on our own, it's likely we will never do an organized tour. It was great to be able to go at our own pace and explore the trails. Johnny and Ashley were extremely helpful. They thoroughly went over how to unload and operate the snowmobiles and provided a detailed map, radios, helmets. We were also able to borrow their truck with the trailer. The snowmobiles were very easy to operate. The trails they recommended were beautiful with stunning views of the surrounding area. The prices were very reasonable and our time started from when we got to the mountain - not leaving their shop. We hope to be back to Vail one day and will definitely be renting with them again!!

Consider a few more options before ya just use this place. If you or someone you know goes out to try and have a fun time in the snow. And you are 65 years old and you ride like you are 80 years old this is the place to rent. Buzz will send you out will that half tank of fuel and tell you its completely full and tell you to bring it back full of gas. Then he will pull out of his rump. And few more fees to charge you for if your ten minutes late on returning. because you are filling the tank to full of gas. The machine they gave us had a broken brake lever so it was harder to ride. and the air intake was broken on one of the sleds

So much better than guided tours. We had a great day on snowmobile trails. If you are concerned about doing this on your own, the owners are more than happy to walk you through everything. Don't be afraid to ask any questions. We really enjoyed not sucking the exhaust of the a large guided tour!

Buzz's Unguided Rentals are far superior than the guided competition, plain and simple. We've done two guided tours previously and they are just downright boring. You have very little if any freedom at all to use the snowmobiles as you desire. This is completely different. You can use them however you'd like and as fast as you'd like. You can go at your own pace and stop when you want etc. Long story short, unguided is way better than guided and i had WAY more fun renting with them than others. Plus the prices are a bit better.

After 30+ years of traveling to Vail, and sadly looking in to what Vail has become (more like an amusement park), Buzz´s BC adventures made my vacation. Buzz´s BC embodies what the mountains culture is: get out there by your own, pick your mountain and enjoy it by your self. At my booking process I was aware of safety (avalanches, cliffs...), I wrote back and forth many mails with Johnny, until I booked. On the very day of my reservation we where being hit by heavy snow, so I showed up and Johnny told me it wouldn't´t be the best for us to go out there, so he suggested to go back the day after, so we did. The day we went for an adventure was simply a dream day: 8¨of fresh snow and blue skies. I can tell that Buzz´s BC adventures knows the game, they are aware of the weather, the whole area. The equipment they have for rent (sleds and tralier) works perfectly. We rented a couple of snowmobiles and we took our snowboards, Johnny told us where to go and we spent a whole day with bottomless powder, virgin lines and just by our selfs. I never realized that going with out a guide was the thing to do until I got there. They gave us a whole safety briefing, they told us dos and donts, equipped us with radios and maps, good luck and bye bye!! Next winter I will definitely be back, for nearly half the price of a lift ticket to ¨white knots berry farm¨ I got to really enjoy once again Colorado pow pow.

Buzz's Backcountry was fantastic . A small new company that gives you a personal touch. Ashley , Johnny and Smitty were more than accommodating for our group. They communicated in a timely manor. Smitty gave us thorough directions on operating the snowmobiles . For the unguided tour they suggested the best places to see and gave us maps and good directions. The scenery was beautiful. the snowmobiles ran well. We were very happy with our experience. I would highly recommend this company. The Floridians

Everything is ready when you arrive, quick and easy pickup / dropoff. Much better experience than tour guided options where you’ll end up waiting for someone. You’ll be able to ride, explore, and take breaks at your leisure.
