Fun for the whole family

A great day at the top of Vail Mountain. The mountain coaster is super fun. We were lucky enough to see a deer running through the woods as we coasted down the mountain. Make... read more

We were told by the Vail visitors center to ride the Gondola up and enjoy Adventure Ridge and then hike down for a great way to spend the day. So we went to get tickets for the Gondola and they are $34 a piece, then you get to the top and the activities are another $80. The views were great... More

Vail just added a Zipline Canopy Tour to the other activities at Adventure Ridge (Top of Lionshead Gondola). It's officially called the Game Creek Aerial Adventure. It is a long course with 7 lines and you will travel at speeds up to about 60MPH. It starts at a tower above Eagles Nest and you zip into Game Creek Bowl. From... More

This gondola ride was recommended to us by everyone in Vail and once we did it I understood why! My sister-in-law and I took this 12 minute ride to what felt like the top of the world: 10,350 ft to be exact! The views were spectacular! People were up there with there dogs and it made me wish I had... More

It can be hard to keep a 4 1/2 year old boy busy but the EPIC adventures at the top of Gondola One did the trick. He spent several days mastering the agility rope course, zip line, tubing, climbing wall, forest flyer, tubing and his favorite, the bungee trampoline. All Grandpa had to do was watch and give him an... More

Adventure Ridge, atop Vail Mtn, features some fun activities for the kids including a small and large ropes course, zip line, bungee, a fun (but short) alpine slide. But for $89, including the gondola ride, its very pricey. If you swing for it, make sure to start early in the day (9 am) as we have been rained out twice... More

From zip lines to a mountain coaster, ropes courses and gorgeous views. Good food. Loved the gondola ride to the top. Rent a mountain bike and ride down! Fun for everyone in our party from 60's to a four year old

Adventure Ridge is fun, but 1. buy your tickets online first. The line in the ticket office is crazy. 2. Go first thing in the morning. Thunder and lightning shut the whole thing down in the afternoon. 3. Beware the crowds. Most of the activities are manually intensive so lines can be really long. 4. It is expensive and not... More

Our 5 year old boy and 4 year old girl had a blast thanks to wonderful staff running adventure ridge. For example we had a worker named Jon who got to know us throughout the week and encouraged, laughed with and helped our kids. Thanks Jon. Highly recommended!

A great day at the top of Vail Mountain. The mountain coaster is super fun. We were lucky enough to see a deer running through the woods as we coasted down the mountain. Make sure you don't brake going down - the faster the better. Ropes course was a lot of fun - takes longer than you would expect. The... More

Though we're not kids and don't even have kids, a couple of friends and I decided to visit Adventure Ridge during our long weekend trip. We spent the night before in Vail but the Ridge doesn't open until 9:30 so if you want to stay in Denver and don't mind a couple hours of driving each way it could be... More
