Amazing Views of Telluride!

Hiked this with 2 of my Boston friends while visiting Telluride. The first part of this hike up is a bit challenging - it was a bit steep and in the sun (it was warm too). So the heat may have made this a bit more challenging to me - we'd stop to rest in the shaded area's of the... More

The Jud Wiebe is a popular 3 mile hike you access on the south facing side of Telluride. The trail switchbacks up some 1200 vertical feet through stands of aspen, fir and spruce - the reward is some fine views of Telluride and the ski area across the valley. It's especially nice in the fall when the aspens change color... More

Not for sissies. Very great hike on the north side of Telluride...hike through beautiful aspen groves and woods which begins right in town. Quite a lot of vertical to get your heart pumping. A local favorite.

Great hike that one can get to without driving. Spectacular views of town and region. A wonderful way to spend a half day.

Because the trail head of Jud Wiebe is right off of Aspen St, it is easy to access from Telluride. It is a moderate hike that provided great views of Telluride. The lookout point is excellent. We were there during mushroom season, and saw lots of mushrooms along the trail.

This trail is accessible right from the edge of town, however, very little shade on sunny afternoon. More moderate than easy.

This is a great hike to get some views around town but definitely has some elevation gain for those flatlanders visiting. Not too long but if you want to see a cool waterfall simply hike to Cornet Creek Falls near the beginning of the trailhead and turnaround. It's only about a half mile roundtrip but is pretty cool to see... More

It goes up....and up.....and up some more. But just when you think you are going to die, you cross through some Aspens to a gorgeous view of Ingram Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Bear Creek and the valley floor. Spend a while at one of the benches, enjoy the scenery. You've earned it. Just be sure to bring water and bug repellent.... More

Beautiful views just on the edge of town, including a park bench at the top with the carved words, "I carry your heart." I couldn't help but think, "Yes you do Colorado, yes you do." The trail is a bit steep, making it a good warmup for bigger hikes if you need to get acclimated. I had no issues with... More

This hike has a great view of the mountains and the entire town of Telluride. It has some steep parts as you go up the trail to the top of the mountain, but the way down is super easy since it is downhill. It took us about 2.5 hours with stops to admire the views along the way.
