Because the trail head of Jud Wiebe is right off of Aspen St, it is easy to access from Telluride. It is a moderate hike that provided great views of Telluride. The lookout point is excellent. We were there during mushroom season, and saw lots of mushrooms along the trail.

This trail is accessible right from the edge of town, however, very little shade on sunny afternoon. More moderate than easy.

This is a great hike to get some views around town but definitely has some elevation gain for those flatlanders visiting. Not too long but if you want to see a cool waterfall simply hike to Cornet Creek Falls near the beginning of the trailhead and turnaround. It's only about a half mile roundtrip but is pretty cool to see... More

It goes up....and up.....and up some more. But just when you think you are going to die, you cross through some Aspens to a gorgeous view of Ingram Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Bear Creek and the valley floor. Spend a while at one of the benches, enjoy the scenery. You've earned it. Just be sure to bring water and bug repellent.... More

Beautiful views just on the edge of town, including a park bench at the top with the carved words, "I carry your heart." I couldn't help but think, "Yes you do Colorado, yes you do." The trail is a bit steep, making it a good warmup for bigger hikes if you need to get acclimated. I had no issues with... More

This hike has a great view of the mountains and the entire town of Telluride. It has some steep parts as you go up the trail to the top of the mountain, but the way down is super easy since it is downhill. It took us about 2.5 hours with stops to admire the views along the way.

There are very few places where you can hike on such a great trail right from the edge of town. It is not long and is a loop but either way you go the first part and last part are pretty steep since you are hiking up the side of the mountain right on the edge of town. You need... More

This climb has a steep short elevation gain. It is not for someone who is struggling with elevation. Beautiful views, and it is not an in and out which is nice

This hike is definitely beautiful -- through groves of Aspen trees, Spruce forest, over two streams, gorgeous views of Telluride and surrounding mountains. But it is not easy! Elevation gain is over 1,300 feet to highest point in 1.25 miles hiking clockwise from the Aspen St. trailhead. Hiking counterclockwise from the Oak St. trailhead it is 2.1 miles to the... More

My wife and I were looking for something to do in the morning before we met my parents for lunch. Jud Wiebe was certainly worth the couple of hours that it took. We had read earlier that we would not want to forget our camera and I'm certainly glad we didn't. The view from the top makes you quickly forget... More
