This hike has a great view of the mountains and the entire town of Telluride. It has some steep parts as you go up the trail to the top of the mountain, but the way down is super easy since it is downhill. It took us about 2.5 hours with stops to admire the views along the way.

There are very few places where you can hike on such a great trail right from the edge of town. It is not long and is a loop but either way you go the first part and last part are pretty steep since you are hiking up the side of the mountain right on the edge of town. You need... More

This climb has a steep short elevation gain. It is not for someone who is struggling with elevation. Beautiful views, and it is not an in and out which is nice

This hike is definitely beautiful -- through groves of Aspen trees, Spruce forest, over two streams, gorgeous views of Telluride and surrounding mountains. But it is not easy! Elevation gain is over 1,300 feet to highest point in 1.25 miles hiking clockwise from the Aspen St. trailhead. Hiking counterclockwise from the Oak St. trailhead it is 2.1 miles to the... More

My wife and I were looking for something to do in the morning before we met my parents for lunch. Jud Wiebe was certainly worth the couple of hours that it took. We had read earlier that we would not want to forget our camera and I'm certainly glad we didn't. The view from the top makes you quickly forget... More

We've hiked about 15 different trails all around Telluride and this one is one of my favorite trails. It's quite the challenge if you start from Aspen St. and loop around to exit Oak St. You will have amazing views of downtown Telluride, Bridal Veil Falls, several ski runs and Mt. Wilson. Definitely worth the challenge!

This was my first hike upon arrival - it was too steep for my husband and he ended up turning around. I kept going but it was hard due to the steep climb and me acclimating to the altitude. Almost everyone I met on the trail was a local who uses it as a means to work out. The 3... More

I never miss a chance to do this hike! It takes you high above Telluride and you get amazing views of Bridal Veil, the town and the peaks in the distance. To get to the trailhead, go to the top of Aspen Street and cross the bridge. You gain some nice elevation but it's not too strenuous; you'll enjoy a... More

Trail was a bit narrow and muddy at parts, but you definitely feel the altitude increase the workout level. The amazing views from above the town of Telluride are worth all huffing and puffing!

Rode mountain bikes on this trail and got very lost but had a great time. The scenery is beautiful and the single track is like that elsewhere in Telluride you climb and climb and climb, the descent is fun though. Be prepared to hike some, not for the faint of heart.
