We accidentally bought a six pack of this on our first day and liked it so much we decided to fill our growler there. It’s close to downtown, has a super friendly staff and great beers. Totally worth a stop. No food served but they have chips and sodas for kids.

I love this place. We visited here several times on our vacation to Steamboat. The beer is excellent with many options to choose from. The staff is great and knew our names by the end of the week. I look forward to returning to Steamboat again and will definitely return here.

Beer snob here. Admitting it. Butcherknife isn't a brewery that gets talked about a lot in Colorado, and probably isn't considered the best in Steamboat. That being said, it's better than average/standard, and they have one of the best English Mild Ales in the state, if not THE best. So they hit on some styles quite well. If you're an IPA freak, this might not be your spot. The brewery itself is very inviting and I've always enjoyed my visits here. Nice service, good crowd. If you're a beer lover, 100% make a point to stop here.

Seriously, what's better than drinking beer on a deck while looking at mountains? Great beer selection and they're even mixing up some interesting concoctions. Had a heffe with lime aid in my flight and it was very refreshing. Bring the kids....they have games for them to play. Don't miss Butcherknife!

Love Butcherknife's beers. Especially the Amputator IPA. No fruit or citrus. Just a good tasting IPA.

We did a brief tour of three of Steamboat's four breweries (here, Storm Peak, Mahogany Ridge, missed Mountain Tap). I'd return to Butcherknife and Storm Peak.

The beer is very good. My favorite is the Amputator. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the beers. The atmosphere is what you would expect at a brewery!

We had a teenager and a baby with us. We sat down and had delicious beers and played games with the kids. Great view and good beer.

Visit our daughter every summer (she moved here 6 years ago). LOTS of great places to eat and drink! This was a new place for us. She organized a "Beer Bike Brewery" and Butcherknife was our first stop. Great, cold beers. It was a Monday, so there was a food truck with great Greek Food there as well. Did not want to leave, but off we went to visit the other breweries!
Just one mile out of town, great view of mountains.

We just happened upon the brewery on our way back from horseback riding at Del's Triangle 3. The beers were great (the Hefeweizen and Radler were my favs) and there is ample seating both inside and out. They also have lots of games to play at your table. What an eclectic group of customers (all friendly)- many dogs, we had a young adult with us, toddlers, 30 somethings, up to white haired folks. We are from Denver, where there are a slew of these small breweries- Butcherknife does it right! They've got the beer, ambiance and customer service down. We bought shirts, beer to go, and plan to make this a must-do every time we are in Steamboat!
