Old Town Hot Springs is an historic hot spring and recreational facility in the heart of Steamboat Springs. It is family friendly and has been the place for recreation and rejuvenation for visitors and locals alike for over 100 years. The swimming and soaking pools served as a gathering and bathing place for the Ute Indians who first settled in the area. Then in the late 1800s, it was a social spot and a bathing place for the early homesteaders. Old Town Hot Springs sits at an elevation of 6,700 feet and offers eight pools, including two 230-foot waterslides, a 3,000 square foot hot activity pool, an aquatic rock climbing wall, the historic Heart Spring pool, eight lap lanes, and massage. We also have a full fitness center with over 45 classes each week, including aqua fitness classes, yoga, spin, pilates, BodyPump, Zumba, and more. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit, multi-use complex open seven days a week, year-round.

If you want a relaxing convenient hot spring in Steamboat, this is the one. If I understand the origin of Steamboat, this is where the name came from... Before the spring was a heart shaped pool, in the mid 1800's the spring made a chugging sound that could be heard from some distance. Which, at the time, sounded like a... More

While expensive if you're not a member, this place has much to offer. The springs and pool are great and exercise room offers the usual. I've gotten great massages here, the most recent with Leah. I've used the members' locker room since my son's family are all members so I can't speak to the other one. But even the members'... More

The pools are not very "hot" compared to others around the state. They swimming areas are quite small and can feel very crowded. The kids really liked the climbing wall in the pool area. Not much seating offered.

Hi Thanks for taking the time to provide a review of your experience at Old Town Hot Springs. The all natural historic heart spring does come out of the ground at 103 degrees. We do have additional pools that are kept at lower temperatures to allow for aerobic classes and lap swimming. Additionally the number of visitors to our facility... More

Great family oriented Hot Springs with many pools of different temperatures , some for children too.(water toys available) Not overpriced, this establishment is also a health club for locals (with equipment rooms overlooking the pools) . It's also where the local swimming team practices (in separate lap pool) Also includes slides for kids and adults, and even has a heathy... More

Had lots of fun with our kids here! Oldest two enjoyed the rock climbing wall and slides. The babies had fun, too! The pool was VERY busy on spring break during daylight hours but calmed down at night.

It was a little pricey but worth it. The day was chilly and windy, but it felt amazing in that warm water. There was an Olympic pool for laps and then a large area with the warm water. The small heart shaped spring was piped to feed the other pools on the property. There were varying degrees of heat in... More

We just went the other day- I'd been wanting to try these hot springs out for the kids for a while since we already like Strawberry Park. So very glad we did! My mother-in-law took the kids the day before and my 4 1/2 year-old had a blast in the kiddie area (small area, but he loved it). The kids... More

The staff that checked us in was informative, polite, enthusiastic and kind. There were many different pools for every kind of taste. We opted for the heart pool for most of the visit because children were not allowed and it was quiet and relaxing. This pool also is not treated but stays clean because it is flow through.

Can't get any better than today. 70 degrees, sunny and still have snow on the ground. Pool wasn't too crowded today but not many things open. Always a great place for the family or couples.

The location of the hot springs can't be beat. We loved going to lunch downtown after skiing all morning, then going for a soak in the hot springs. The springs are clean and not "stinky" like many other hot springs. These springs are more pool-like and less rustic than some we've been to. The slides were not open when we... More
