I took long walks every morning I was in Steamboat along the Yampa River Core Trail. It winds along the river to downtown. You can walk or run as far as you like. It was chilly in the early morning (40 degrees) but just take an extra layer. I stayed on the side of the mountain so I got a good uphill climb on the finish.

This was a nice walk near the Rabbit Ears Motel, in parks along the Yampa River. It gave us a good stretch before we hit the road again. . .

We rented bikes from Wheels: Wheels is awesome right on river by the trail and the trail, while flat, is a great ride. Take if it you have a chance.

They trails are well maintained. It was great walking them as I was with a senior citizen and he was able to easily walk them and enjoy!!

Walked a little bit of trail to see the river and Arboretum, saw the river with people float along, lots of people out enjoying the afternoon. Many places to park and gain access to trail.
