Summer, winter fall
Aug 2020 • Family
I have family lives in steamboat. They take to a lot of of locals spot. They ski here because little more inexpensive compare to ski resort on Mt Warner. I actually enjoy these slops better as someone that is not great skier. It close to downtown. The loge is small but has a small snack area.

I gone to Howelsen hill since I was a kid, and there is something to do no matter the season. We have ski and hit ice rink(favorite) during winter. During the fall is beautiful with changing of seasons. Summer we have gone down the alpine slid which you can get hurt in so be safe! My brother had a deer jump in front him on slid. I have even been to a Rodeo which I recommend.

Alpine Slide Fun
Jul 2020
We did the alpine slide at this ski area. It was quite bumpy coming down for the slide connections didn't seem to be close enough. Just seemed like the slide could have been smoother. Still a fun ride and a beautiful view.

Cool
Feb 2020
I stopped by here on Saturday mornign before going on a hike and this is a one-stop shop for active people. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable of things to do in the area and gave me directions on where to go. Clean restrooms and a snack bar! The parking lot is huge so you shouldn't have any issues with parking too.

Dec 2019
We attempted to go to this hill a couple of times and it was never open. They discontinued the snow tubing.

Active

This is such a great place for active people. It was a great spot to start many activities. We could slide, go to a rodeo, mountain bike, run, paved trail bike, park, sport fields, or go for a walk. There were many maintenance crews there working and police present. We were impressed by this area and welcomed before the Honey Stinger. Great place to go during the summer.

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE
Jul 2019 • Family
The lady was extremely rude when we were trying to make arrangements. While completing our waivers, she catered to others, rolled her eyes at us, and even offered the group behind us a free coupon.

Great spot! Lots to do!

The Alpine slide is here! And biking, hiking plus free summer concerts. There’s also the lodge where you can learn about the Olympic history. We biked all through the park and stopped for the kids to run around on the playground. Great spot!

Visit with an Olympic Champion
Jul 2019 • Family
Got to do a meet and greet with Todd Lodwick who gave us a great historical overview of Howelsen Hill and how things evolved in Steamboat for ski jumping in the early 1900's. Not to be missed if you have a chance to stop by and listen in on the history and his Olympic years! Great Stuff!!!
