Grizzle-T Dog & Sled Works is a dog sledding tour business located in Steamboat Springs, CO. Family owned and operated by Iditarod Musher, Kris Hoffman and his wife Sara. In business since 1996, we offer both “Learn to Drive” dog sledding tours where we bring you out and teach you how to drive your own team (typically 2 people/sled with one starting as the driver and 1 being the passenger and then switching half way around the trail) or “Guide Driven” tours where we drive the sleds for you and you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the beautiful Colorado mountains at the speed of dog. Our 12.5mile backcountry trail is located on a private ranch just west of Steamboat. Our pristine (groomed) trail snakes through Colorado’s mountainous ranch country traversing over ridgelines, through canyons, open meadows, and everything in-between. Views include the Flat Tops Wilderness Area, Sleeping Giant, The Zirkles, The Steamboat Ski Area, the Valley and much more...with the occasional spotting of wildlife!

Great time, beautiful day, knowledgeable and helpful team instructing the entire way; will be going back next time in town! A solid 2+ hours of activity outdoors. Easier to drive the sled than anticipated. Don't miss this!

We were lucky enough to go on the south loop with Tom and Amy and their dogs from Double T Kennels. They were fantastic folks and dogs. Great instructions, wonderful hospitality and stories of racing dogs. The dogs themselves are real race dogs--not fluffy Disney dogs, but happy, friendly runners who love their jobs!

Nover done anything like this before and it was so much fun! Not only was the experience of riding around the open, snowy wilderness behind 6 dogs great, but the dogs were so loving and friendly and so were the people. I would recommend this for anyone while in Steamboat Springs, CO!

If you want to have a blast here is your adventure. The people that both work and own this are great dog lovers. This is the most fun other then skiing in fresh powder. Everyone loves the work and you can't leave Steamboat Springs without doing this. Chris and Sara and the whole group is fantastic. If you can't tell... More

A bunch of friends and I recently went on a tour with Grizzle T and we were blown away by the beautiful, natural landscape, the professionalism of the staff, and most of all, the staff's love for their hardworking dogs. The whole scenario was love at first sight for all of us 30 year olds. Days after the trip, we... More

Amazing experience. Tom and his team were excellent. We came with 11 dudes and there was no delay in getting the tutorial, getting the dogs harnessed and hitting the trail. Dogs were beautiful and friendly, truly memorable!

We had been dog sledding before, but this was completely unique! It was 12 miles of beautiful scenery and a safe, but exhilarating experience. The staff is passionate about their jobs and want the visitor to have a great time. We highly recommend Grizzle-T Dog & Sled Works!
