Stunning village type atmosphere with enough restaurants to keep you amused for a few days. The free shuttle bus around the entire town makes going downtown for groceries and a wider selection of restaurants very easy to do. Cheapest liquor is City Liquor near City Market. The snow was perfect, great restaurants on the slopes and heaps of slopes to... More

The slopes at Steamboat are good but not great for Colorado. $165 daily lift tickets make this a poor value. If you are going to the top or back of the mountain there is essentially one way, the Gondola. While I was there the lines were long in the mornings. Sunshine Express and Chrstie Peak Express had long lines all... More

We have been to Steamboat many times. This last trip may have been our last. It is a good Mountain and has a good amount of terrain but the way it is run is just not as good as other resorts. Our son got sick and couldn't use some of his pass. We asked to transfer one of his days... More

We stayed for a week over Feb vacation. Snow not great midweek due to high temps but end of week snowed and conditions were fabulous. Nice ski resort and nice town esp for families. We will likely come back!

The resort is very nice, runs and not easy which is great. The ski school is great for kids. Negative points, very few places to eat, and slow chairs.

We just finished a week long ski trip here at Steamboat and for the $165 ticket is extremely over priced. For a family of 4 it was over$650 for one day. They have no discounts and the atmosphere isn't even posh. Tissue boxes at lifts were empty and every time I was in lodge to have cookies and hot chocolate... More

We enjoyed Steamboat. Great food and bar options. The hill seemed to be geared more towards beginners and intermediates. Not alot of expert skiing and pretty pricey lift tix in comparison to other resorts.

Surprised at high lift prices when a lot of facilities have not been updated. More expensive than Deer Valley, but no valet was carrying my skis. Layout of mountain was hard to follow, but mountain guide was terrific - recommend taking free tour. Maybe it would have been more worth it if the snow conditions were better.

This can be a wonderful place to ski if you are an intermediate and are not put off by a $170 charge for one day. In addition to the $165 lift ticket price, you have to buy a $5 card. At that level you would think they could include the card since it is for their convenience and control. A... More
