Great resort in summer, excited for winter

Mountain biked the resort this summer and had a blast. Use the resorts rental shop and your gondola ticket is included. Downhill biking is no joke, even with experience. You... read more

Great yoga in the morning! Love just sitting out relaxing and enjoying the mountains. The Happy Hour Gondola activity needs to be changed. During our time we waited 1 hour and twenty minutes. A first group and private dinner guests went up. The rained stopped but they were concerned about the wind. The wind was not bad. So not sure... More

Mountain biked the resort this summer and had a blast. Use the resorts rental shop and your gondola ticket is included. Downhill biking is no joke, even with experience. You will get the most bang for your buck if you get a full day rental and a guide for 2 hrs. Seriously, even if you think you got it getting... More

Lots of fun things were happening. It looked especially fun for kids with a creek to plan in, bouncy stuff, etc. very relaxing!! We did not go on the gondola ride ($23/adult) but it looked like they had a great deal on Thursday and Sunday nights at sunset and food at the restaurant on top.

This resort has everything close by and if for some reason you want to explore, the shuttle bus pickup is just a short walk away. You have shopping, skiing, restaurants, live music, nightlife, etc. all within walking distance of your room.

We stayed near the resort and then drove there for dinner at one of the restaurants at the base of the mountain. They had a concert going on with a lot of activities for the kids. Very festive. Beautiful place! Would definitely go again!

We went and walked around the ski resort. There was a lot of activities for the kids to do. You can also ride the tram to the top of the mountain. I really liked the stream that was running through the resort. There was a place for the kids to play in the sand and build sand castles.

I may be leaning toward preferring Steamboat summers to winters, even. So much is open and available in the summer with none of the crowds or difficulties of travel in major snow. Hiking and mountain biking on the actual ski mountain are plentiful and uncrowded. Venture further afield, and you're truly in a glorious alpine wilderness with just you and... More

We were thinking Lake Tahoe for our summer vacation, but then changed to Steamboat Springs for our 9 day rest and relax vacation. We crammed a lot in, but it still seemed very relaxing and well paced. So much to do that we didn't get to all of it. 1. Balloon Festival - Beautiful . . . from the balloon... More

What's cool about Steamboat is the vibrance that carries into the summer. There are so many great things to see and do and try all times of year in this mountain town. Just speaking of the ski resorts, we were there last week and you could ride the gondola. For the brave at heart, you take a bike with you... More

Excellent ski runs and we were lucky with the weather because it ended up being a powder day! The ski runs were a good length and the off piste was easy to navigate (in powder).
