We really enjoyed our time on the slopes here. It was our first time at this resort. I would recommend taking advantage of reserving lift tickets at least 10 days in advance for the discount. There are lots of lifts and lots of slope options for all levels. Also if you are a beginner there are green slopes from top... More

Travelled here on a whim last minute trip last week. We skied Tuesday thru Thursday which was awesome because it was deserted! Never stood in one lift line at all - skied right up to every chair. The snow was great and cats were out grooming. Not a ton of ski patrol around - saw more at breck and other... More

This is a great all around place for skiing, especially for families. There are 165 trails and 16 lifts and there's plenty for all levels. We started coming here over 20 years ago because the mountain offers a huge range of accommodations, extensive lesson programs for all levels, and usually good deals for tickets and equipment for pre-teens when accompanied... First day had gondola shut down due to winds, so getting to where we wanted to start off took a bit of traverse and a couple of lifts. Once we got the lay of the mountain down and how to quickly get there, the mountain was awesome with lines at lifts being rare. Worst line was on the Sunshine lift... More

We traveled to Steamboat with a total of 3 families for a week over New Years. It was the first ski trip my family had taken outside of Michigan or Wisconsin (the other families had visited Steamboat before) and we were a little nervous on how we could handle the difference in elevation, difference in snow, and difficulty of the... For point of reference, I have skied almost every resort in Colorado. This was my first trip to Steamboat and will be my last. The base of the mountain is poorly constructed. The access puts you in a bottle neck and gives you a very crowed feeling. Every morning it took a long time to get up the mountain due... More

We came to Steamboat because of its kids' ski school --but we were greatly disappointed. While lunch is included, there is no choice and they don't notify what will be offered, so for my daughter's case, she went both days without having lunch; for us this is not a huge issue, but for a ski program that is raved about,... The best location in steamboat. Pick up your skis from their valet storage and walk about ten paces and your on the slopes. Friendly staff. Large well equipped rooms with great views. Undercover secure parking, .... highly recommended this hotel as your base.

Love Steamboat!!! When our guys were little this was the ski resort recommended by a magazine for kids! We were not disappointed! Not commercially over done! Same small downtown with fabulous shops and restaurants!! Something for everyone! Ski school Tubing.. dog sledding, snow galore!! Great runs for every level skier!! Fly into Hayden shuttle to the mountain!!

We are spending a few days in Steamboat. I took a private lesson the first morning. It was expensive but the instructor, Paul Tronnier, was excellent and made it fun!
