I have had two dealings with this company. Both were disappointing.
We rented an ATV that broke down before we even got out of town. The owner tried to blame it on us. They didn't tell us about the gas station in town (You have...More
Not too challenging ATV roads right outside Silverton- which may be a plus for some. A cool place to visit is the ghost town at Animas Forks. You can actually explore around it with caution. The buildings are rickety but that is what makes it...More
I know a lot of people come out looking for scenic drives or thrilling adventures in Colorado, but I can honestly say, this is both of those. For the price, my 4 hour guided tour was more than worth the cost. The paths toured take...More
Had an afternoon ride in late September. The guide, Michael, was fantastic and I would recommend him 110% for any Silverton-area adventure in the future. He knows his stuff and is a fun guy to spend an afternoon with. Definitely ask for him when booking...More

This was one of the things I wanted to do while staying in Silverton, and I'd never done it before. The entire experience was fantastic. Our guide/driver was very good at his job, from his expert driving to his knowledge of the things we saw...More

Although the San Juan National Forest reopened a week ago, keep in mind that the SJNF covers only about 25 percent of the huge San Juan Mountains. Almost none of the famous jeep/ATV trails were effected by the forest closure. These trails are primarily on BLM land that never closed. There has been no smoke in the Silverton area for about ten days now. The highway to Durango has been fully open for over a week now. But until the fire is completely out, it's best to come to Silverton from the north through Ouray.

I would recommend going on one of their guided tours. We went on an all day trip with this company to and from Lake City from City (went over Engineer pass going to then Cinnamon pass on return in early June. The guides are good about tailoring a trip to fit your needs. The mining roads you would drive on are steep and winding with some bug drop offs along the way. If you have not beel four wheeling a bit or are not familiar with the area I would suggest hiring a guide. We saw several people along the way who rented and drove themselves stopped with flat tires. Our tour guides name was Doug he had been driving off road since the 60s he knew the area well
